as for Batley why ?

I agree Hill should have but he's a grunt not a superstar half back grunts hardly ever win 'owt

It does not just take into account on field performance but off field too. They probably took into account Batley only used 25 players (one of those only played 20 mins in 1 game this year.. so really only 24), all those players bar 1 in a 5 mile radius of batley, smallest budget in the league, 3rd place finsh, QF northen rail and pretty near effort against Huddersfield in the challenge cup. All that effort with a good off field programme. I think Batley done pretty damn well.

In fairness I think either he or a relative has some involvement at Batley so not too surprising



Well done to Batley, I say. Shows exactly what can be achieved with limited resources and certainly a club who we may wish to learn lessons from in the future.
