Everybody cant play all the time, who would you drop at the moment to fit 'Ruddy' into the squad?

Its about competition for places and fighting for your place.

If Ruddy is Adam Rudd then at best he is a squad player and when he gets his chance its up to him to make a place his own.

I understand that if you are not getting any game time (like Dean Hatton) then you want to be playing and short term loan times are best for all concerned (both clubs and the player). Hasn't Adam Rudd been injured? If so and is now fit its up to him to fight for a place in the reserves or request to be released. I would not like to lose him from our squad as in general he does a decent job but at the moment others are higher up in the pecking order.

Season long loan for Hatton? He is not going to get a game at 9 with Jock and Durbin.

He can cover 6, 7 and 13, so that would be silly, as the season goes on we may pick injuries in these positions.

Id like to see Dean given a chance at 13.

But not at the expense of Armistead.

Good move to give Hatton a bit of game time and see how he copes with regular game time at that level.

No idea Matt but I ill take your word for it. I think some people are ruled by their hearts not their head re Hatty who is a great lad but unlikely to become a Leigh first team player. He was given opportunities pre season and did not take them unlike say Durbin who snatched them.
