Well the Fev lad has said it all really.

Our defence was oustanding and both their tries came when we had only 11 men on the field.

Hobson was dismissed and rightly so a couple of minutes into the second half and then Stewart was yellow carded just about 10 minutes later.

We played some good stuff despite losing Armistead and Stanton in the first half.

I won,t comment on the referee because I would be accused of lying and I am sure other people and any neutrals will be able to put it more eloquently than I. But I will content myself with saying I have never been at a match where the decisions have been incomprehensible even to the recipients of such largesse. This ref will be making a name for himself soon. Maybe he was one of those bankers responsible for those unbelievable losses British Banking managed to run up last year.He can,t still be employed as a banker can he ?

To close 100 % effort from our team and a match where we were undoubtably the better side.


NK didn,t seem to happy when he had words with him as the ref left the pitch.

Leigh looked very good tonight, Rovers had great difficulty breaking them down, i dont know if the sending off made a difference or not some times teams dig in more. But i would be more pleased if i was the Leigh coach to be honest, Rovers looked a bit clueless at times, but i suppose a wins a win

Would love to see the penalty count. Must have been about 25-4. One of the worst refs I have ever seen.

Thanks for the comments Mo......... seemed like that via the radio commentary( unbiased ) .....Looks like NK has tightened up our defence thankfully........ A good result given the numerical disparity.

Same ref killed us in the penalty count, sent someone off and also disallowed what looked like a good try last Friday. The Radio Manchester commentators were saying on Sunday that even though he was poor, the only way they'll learn is to give them the experience - Sorry but I don't see why the teams on the end of his gaffs should have to put up with the consquences (of having someone so bad). From what people have said he was probably as bad tonight as he was on Friday and IMO thats unacceptable. His next game is Halifax v Barrow - his reffing will probably spoil a good game and could swing it either way.

Really? I thought they'd had a dozen by the break, though my by reckoning we didn't get a penalty in the second half until the 70 minute mark?

Defence was incredible tonight, never seen owt like that.

Well I listened to it on t wireless last night and even the the commentators were saying how well we defended considering the ridiculous penalties that the ref was intent on giving, and trying to make a name for himself.

Fev should have put the game to bed but our lads stood tall and did not let that happen and thats a sign of great team spirit coming on.

Just when is hobson going to learn? He sounded like he was having a good game making good runs and offloads and then .... well we know what to expect from him, its not if with him .... its when!!!!

A lot of positives in the game we are starting to play.

It's good to see that the fans who went are pleased with the performance dispite the result.

This team has great potential, and with the fans backing them dispite defeats, the futures bright for all at Leigh Centurions.

you can tell when a team puts the effort in and as a leigh fan thats all i ask and all you can ask for is 100% we were the better team just out ref'ed

Frustration then Relief I think were the words being mumbled by the fev lot on the way out....hats off to your guys for the defensive effort...spot on.....I would have felt a bit peeved but proud if I was you....not good reffing, I hate the stop an start stuff...there were always gonna be handling errors but I think you were better, that goes for the passing too....we lacked the killer instinct when you went down one.....ourselves to blame for giving ya hope also cos we had at least 4 opportunities to put 2 on the board....with only 4 in it you always had summat to go at....good to see so many making the effort to come over......not convincing for us but I suppose a wins a win in any cup comp.

Glad I made the journey to Featherstone last night. The team played brilliant and was unlucky not to pinch it at the end.The least said about the Ref the better. The team spirit was there to be seen and if they keep that attitude it puts us in good stead for the rest of the season.
