hope members of the board don't read that and shat themselves, no mention of the big money there unless I've missed something

The big money that is constantly referred to is not prize money it's increased central funding for next season.
Finishing top this season means we will have the higher levels of central funding next season from the RFL. It's not however a prize or a lump sum it's spread over the course of next year as is the current central funding which is currently a fraction of what it will be hence the importance of finishing top two this year.
It's important to note that the two teams dropping down Bradford and London will have significantly higher levels of funding than the top two from this seasons Championship that's why the challenge for us is to increase crowds and other revenue streams to put us on an even keel and give us a chance to push on in the middle eight and hopefully the play offs for SL over the next season or two.
Cheers
Andy

| Parachute payment PLUS for London the London Weighting allowance of £X K's (something like £100K in SL I'm told) dunno the figure for The Championship money.

| So if we were to win the league we get £25,000 and then if we win the grand final another £20000 and £500000 central funding if I,m correct, split over the season.

Isn't it for finishing 13/14 meaning that next season even if we don't get promoted but finish 5th/6th in the SL Qualifier Group we get that extra money? What happens if you finish 5th but win the promotion play off game? Do you get Super League money or top Championship money?

| Next season we have to finish in the top 4 to get in the middle 8 league.
After 7 games if we finish in the top two we are promoted.
For me I would expect the top 4 Championship league to be Leigh Fev Fax and Bradford although not sure of the order.
Superleague clubs in middle 8 league Wakefield Hull KR Hull FC and Widnes imo so we should get some decent attendances now that (thank God) licenscing has been dustbinned.
Won't be easy but at least there now is a proper route to the top league for every club.

| I am sure there has been other stuff published since those above and it has been defined further. It doesn't mention how the 4 clubs are promoted to SL from the middle eight for example but I thought it was top 3 and then a 4th v 5th place play off. So even if the 4 clubs coming down finish 1st to 4th at least one champ club will have a one off shot at promotion.

Pleased to see it is not going to be a 1 season effort for next year, IMO next season is a massive step up for us, and not convinced we will be in a position to challenge the SL four that we get put up against. A full time experience and a bit more added quality for the season after may see us push to the next level and put up a challenge
