not our problem is it.
Hopefully they are doing things right and go on to prosper when they go back to Swinton.

Well i must admit that thought has crossed my mind, but a large majority of our squad this year was with us last year, so hopefully the board has done it's sums right, only time will tell.

| Well in my view all Marshy 1 has done is to announce the player who this thread is about will be signing for Swinton.
Good luck to the side he supports. I will be a Leyther next season as always and whilst I would like us to have the best squad in the Championship we have a budget which our club must stick to or we won't have a club to support.
That will have to do for next season and who knows with the duals we will get not forgetting loan players we will have a very good squad to watch.
Keep the faith. We will be worth watching and to the players who have signed thanks guys.

| His agent agreed terms with us on his behalf, and he was due to come and sign yesterday. He then decided he wasn't signing for the money agreed and asked for a improved deal, we said no, as it wouldn't be fair on the rest of the team that had signed their contracts. I agree with this, Keith Freer the chairman said that if he doesn't get more money elsewhere and we haven't already signing a prop from somewhere else, then hes welcome to come back and talk to us and sign the orginal contract.

I hope we understand that the best players get more money, just the same as any product in life.

Yes and the best players will go to the club were the money is.
I think we have applaud Keith on his stance as we can't be held to ransom by players. Bracek is a decent forward but there will be others coming available both DR and released by SL clubs.

| We do not know his demands, I would guess after a good 4N he upped them and felt a SL club would take a punt. I am intrigued to know how this years budgets will pan out, is the plan to recover the PG's on the overdraft? Have the club been transparent enough to share outline costs and projected incomes with its stakeholders?
We are in the entertainment business and more tickets are sold for the big shows than the fringe events, I agree totally with clothe cutting but there comes a level when income falls are greater than reduced costs.
Up to now we have put together a decent squad but lack badly in strike players and grunt, without the Grunt the skill assembled at 1,6,7,9,13 are wasted. Lets see how we strengthen in these areas, as £20k extra would be well spent on 4 better players and pay dividends on income.

| We dont you ring Keith Freer or Phil Coffey and ask, I very very much doubt that PG s are included in the budget. No way!
AS for annoucing his signing the club were reacting to what they read on here, where us fans were desperate for news, so we slate um if they dont tell us anything and slate them if they do and get it wrong. He had like a lot of others agreed terms rest on that list are actual signings now, this one they slipped up with, and after Keith explained it last night, I understand why it was done.

| As they're short on numbers on the board Maurice, I'm sure KF/PC/TB will appreciate you coming on board with your expert knowledge. Breaking our pay structure and the problems it will cause is a genius idea, I must say. Good player, but Darren Lockyer he is not. Why should the likes of Taylor, Duffy, Littler etc be 'rewarded' for their loyalty by the club going back on their pay structure to increase a deal that had previously been agreed?

I think you will find that Littler is still on his original pay deal, as he signed a two year contract that the club have to honour. Bibey will be in the same boat (if he can play again).

Point still stands though that they haven't agreed a deal and then gone back to ask for more money once the finances were on a sounder footing etc.
