hoever is everyone aware that on Sunday KICK OFF `12-45 The RESERVE TEAM PLAY AGAINST DEWSBURY RESERVES in what shouild be a good game. Help linda please but get behind this team to help them towards the GRAND FINAL.Now back to Emerdale.

Just to let everyone know how things went, I collected 63 forms at the game today, some of which were for more then the "normal" £5.
Add that to the numerous ones weve had back already, I would say were over 300 members already without all the forms back in as yet, in fact, only a small percentage back in.
Thanks to all those who turned up to help, we worked very hard, most fans took form s and a lot are ringing details to me, some I have to ring too.
What surprised me was there was a lot who didnt know what LISA was and what did concern us was the numbers of fans who are oblivious to all of whats been going on, including Arthur Leaving etc.

I think the CLUB need to get the message accross stronger about how important it is for all our fans to help out in whatever way they can financially.

After today, I am convinced this must be the case for 50% of Leigh Centurion supporters or they dont listen to the local radio or watch local news on a regular basis, have the internet or dont recieve a local paper, or know a friend who knows about the situation the club unfortunately finds itself in

I appreciate that things are hard for everyone and our money can only go so far, however, for those who like a pre match drink and cant afford to join lisa AND want to continue spending their hard earned £19 every 2 weeks or so during the season on a ticket and a couple of pints why not spend £16.50, miss a pint every 2 weeks and spend the £5 on Lisa. This means they are contributing to helping secure the future of their club so they can continue enjoying spending their £16.50 every 2 weeks in season.

I guess it is still up to us who know to spread the word and continue to try to boost the membership

I picked up a form on entering the ground, I`ve just filled it in and will post it tomorrow.

We did really well I thought, and we need to regroup and do the same again, as I think theyll be at least another 500-1000 there next week, so plenty more "victims" to collar.

Great Bart and hats of to you any many others who did the same. If half those given out turn into memberships then that would be fantastic and well worth the effort. To be honest to gain a handful of extra members from the effort is worthwhile and thanks to all who took the time to listen and at least take a form.

When we get 75 % of our average home gate contributing the equivalant of 17p per day we might find we can keep our best players. Now double that to 34p a day and surely I do not have to tell you we would.
