That's what I call it.
It's a minor miracle we still get more than 2k for most games IMHO. |

Licensing came in 3 years ago. Barr one season, where were you for years and years previous??
This 'no chance of ever doing it because the big mean RFL say so' is so overplayed its rubbish.
Widnes will have done it, so stop moaning and get on with it. They made themselves the most obvious choice, you so to can do that.

We all still await an RFL statement to the effect that anyone else will get a chance, come 2015. That is certainly not a foregone conclusion. |

Beg to differ.
Honestly speaking, as a fairweather fan (like the droves that no longer turn up at all at Leigh) I'd love to live in hope that I'll get to watch a few games that actually feel important. You know - ones that make you feel sick just at the thought of them.
Unfortunately, we can all see that this is now so, so unlikely, that many fans have simply given up.
As a lottery member, I get a few free tickets and if I'm away, I struggle to GIVE THEM AWAY because it's not worth PEOPLE'S TIME. Nothing to do with the recession. They simply have BETTER THINGS TO DO.
That's what you're up against.
That economic unit called 'UTILITY' which the RFL has removed/substantially reduced from the vast majority of our games for a lot of people.

And that is exactly what is happening. Progress, I think it's called, and all those stay-aways know better than to stand its way.
Just as people will finally realise the ultimate fate of a game that can't even thrive in its heartlands is to die and go and play the national code instead.
