With respect Neil, that scenario would represent one of the most spectacular failures in our illustrious history - from Super League to League 1, in one year. Surely, our owner wouldn't want to be remembered for that?

Throughout his tenure, we have been encouraged, by some contributors on here, to "enjoy the ride." That's tantamount to tempting us up to the top of the precipice, to "enjoy the view" and then tipping us over the edge, shortly after arriving there!

Having experienced, at first hand, the previous, recent, financial disaster, I would much rather we were able to survive in the Championship, in our present 'home.' I have a nightmare vision that, once we move out, we would never get back - and that would be very much, the beginning of the end. The stadium at LSV, is intended to be for the community of Leigh, is it not? In my view, all options need to be explored, to ensure our continuing tenure there. A good start would be for the 'interested' parties to talk to each other!

After being de-briefed on tonight's LISA meeting it seems the LSV is just as difficult to deal with as it has ever been Alan , a fantastic facility , but ultimately something that will continue to hold back the club

Alan , I'm hoping Maurices , Nostradamus predictions are him being cynical as he is a very positive thinker,I think whatever happens at the end of the season and before the start of next season we will sort things out , with a squad more than capable of holding its own in the Championship.
For me we are a viable investment for whoever decides to come forward, after all getting bigger crowds than Salford and Widnes, it isn't all doom and gloom, come back Maurice all is forgiven.

Great! In my simple mind, there have to be benefits to LSV (& Wigan Council) to having a Leigh sporting presence at LEIGH Sports Village!

I realise Alan that a move to Atherton wouldn't be good, I've never been to the ground , but I'm sure they couldn't cater for 2000-2500,though I've never seen the facilities.I'm still expecting to be at the LSV next season.

Well you would think so , but sometimes you have to wonder if they give a jot , if the worst case scenario was to unfold then perhaps a season in League 1 playing out of the ' Colliers ' would focus some minds

Athy Colls or LR would be a disaster, a start but a very bleak start, I would expect only 1,000 of the most hardened supporters to survive that move !

It has ben established that LSV have previously only charged the club for match stewarding during previous times of financial hardship, especially after Arthur left, basically playing rent free.

LSV and Mr Toone are aware that the club is in a very precarious financial position again and understand the importance of this town's Rugby League team remaining in it as its anchor tennants, ie it is ultimately used for what it was built for. Leigh RL
