It might've been if we'd beaten Fev and Sheffield like we should've. Prior to the Fev game we'd lost the same amount of games as you and the Leigh game was set to be the decider for top, but we've been poor in the last few weeks.
Next week's game is unimportant now. If we play a weakened team and you stuff us then it won't matter. We both start on 0 points again in a few weeks.

Bradford might be starting on zero confidence at this rate.

| Quote 8ULL5HITT4="8ULL5HITT4"I don't think it will make much difference to confidence ........ Losing to Fev, Eagles and ,probably, Fax would be much more telling had it been important to beat them. I don't think many fans or players recognise the kudos in finishing top of the Championship..'"
What a load of rubbish. Where's this magic wand that we're going to wave that stops us being the rabble from the last two months, to a team capable of beating Leigh, Salford, Wakaey etc You can't just turn form on and off like a tap. Confidence is huge in sport. That's why when you see a striker in football, who's full of confidence, one on one with the keeper, he'll stick it into the bottom corner, Same player, same scenario but is low on confidence, he'll hit it straight at the keeper or over the bar. Technique has very little to do with it.
Leigh believe they can beat anybody right now. Their players, fans staff, the whole club is bouncing. While our players, fans are reeling from being absolutely dominated against part time opposition twice in two weeks.
You say it doesn't matter if we lose the next two games and won't effect our confidence. Funny that has the Bulls quite rightly got booed off at HT yesterday. Losing the next two games isn't going to give them a boost or help get the fans behind them. The Bulls fans have been brilliant all season. Travelled in huge numbers all year, and got right behind the team. They've been average (at best) for two months now and the fans have always got right behind them. Yesterday they had enough and if they produce the same for the next two weeks, god help them.
How on earth you can say there is no difference finishing top to second. Just sounds like sour grapes. I would much rather play Wakey and Leigh at Odsal than having to go to BV and LSV.

I’m more sure than you lot are that you aimed for second.
You can preach to all and sundry that it doesn't matter and you played for second but as a professional sports club you never aim to be second. Especially when you have no idea as to whether second would give you an advantage with the better home fixtures.
Are you telling me you’d prefer to play us at LSV rather than Odsal? Come on don’t live up to your user name.

We can't play everyone at home. There are 4 Super League teams involved. I am much more concerned about where we play them. I'm just happy to be in the top two. As of now I'm not sure of the exact order of finishing for the SL teams. Should we have played Leigh at Odsal that would have had a consequence elsewhere...........that consequence may have been too high a price to play.

| Excellent post from Bull Mania spoken by someone who clearly understands team sport and especially knows his rugby league.
It is true at Leigh we are bouncing with enthusiasm and confidence and that's just where we need to be before we tackle the Middle 8s. Nothing will be taken for granted and it will be one hell of an achievement if we were to ultimately manage to pull off promotion. Meanwhile we are enjoying a fantastic ride one week at a time, taking nothing for granted.
One of our players when asked what losing money was like at Leigh apparently replied, "Dunno mate, I've only been here two years".
Winning is certainly a great habit that breeds confidence and team spirit. Everyone, players and fans alike, felt the pain and we were all bleeding when we lost away at London.
There will be no assumption that all we need to do is to turn up at Odsal on Sunday.
Lee Gaskell could make his return to action and suddenly give the Bulls the lift they currently seem to need.
Good luck to the Bulls going forward so long as you don't sweep past us in the home straight this season. I'm not convinced about some of your player recruitment this season and can't help but believe you need more flair within your coaching set-up.

| No real pressure on this Bradford game now. They've been billing it as the 'Battle for the Championship' recently but now I could see both teams possibly resting a few key players ahead of the 8's. Probably not the 'decider' everyone was expecting anymore. Would be brilliant to clinch top spot in their own backyard though

| Its a Strange game when you saw Moimoi scooting in for a try from Dummy Half and Emmett kicking a conversion.
Thought Leigh played poor in the first 20 and Fev played some good stuff (throw the ball around), after the first 20 we played some top class RL that would see any team struggle - if Leigh do a try of the season DVD it will be a collectors itme this year as we have scored some of the best trys I've ever seen Leigh score.
We then lost a few key players and finished in a sloppy style but what a fantastic result against a team that didn't know how to lose on its travels and lets not forget we had 2 trys chalked off which on another did could have stood.
MOM for me was Barlow as he give the team that lift but in Emmett , McNally , Brierley and Moimoi you had a variety to pick from, It could have gone to anyone which is always pleasing to see.
All roads lead to the 'iconic stadium' next sunday in what should be a cracking game, we are playing some fantastic RL that is pure entertainment and top draw - long may that continue, well done Rowls and the lads.

| If I was picking any SL team for an away match it would be Wakey...... I would fancy us to beat them in front of a big Bulls support.Despite losing to HKR earlier in the season I would still rather play any of the others at home. The thing about opinions is they are just a personal view. They aren't an absolute truth. I've seen a lot of Super League over the years and it helps to frame my opinion.
Don't think they mined lead in that particular hole.
