| Quote WOLRAB="WOLRAB"kelly says he is keeping an eye on the aussie market, re a half back, but is unsure if to try and bring somebody in at this stage of the season, if there is somebody bring them in i say, however don't just buy for the sake of it, marsh at stand off, don't think so, kelly has already said he is going to be in the pack. i will throw a name into the mix, dewsbury are reported in todays's le that they may make a move for martin ainscough, what would people think about us going for him as our stand off.'"
Well he certainly has an impressive side step but whilst I think it in itself is quite good to watch, when it happens, I think Ridyard is ok.
We,ve seen him now against 2 Nonrelegation League stand offs and he hasn,t let us down. I thought he did well against Oldham too.
My view is we should put our faith in him. The more talented Leythers we have in our side the better in the long term.

| I would have like to see a steward take my little boys flask of hot vimto off him. He would have chewed their ankles to shreds.
I'd say Durbin at scrum half and Ridyard at standoff.

| why would they stop you taking a flask into the ground, and the point wheeled centurion, is you knew the price of the ticket, so you should of moaned to the club, not bought one, then left at ht and moan on this mb, makes no sense to me, ok forget the ainscough idea, just a name i thought i'd chuck in, for what its worth i'd give young ridyard a go also.

| Quote Charlie Seeling="Charlie Seeling"Grubber kicks are a reasonable tactic but many were poor at it got to the stage they were even being blocked and going nowhere. There is a lack of thought to them. You saw how profitable kicks in Mathers direction were yet you never bombed him. You should have. Likwise when Pryce came on he was a perfect target oddly for bombs (he has had a nightmare with them v Hudds and Wire) and grubbers.
Ultimately though you desparately need a left sided playmaker.
I am only guessing but Ridyard I think prefers the right side BUT has to try to play left because Watson is so right sided.'" I think when Marsh is on the field he will attack mainly down the left.

| What worried me was this predominance to go right repeatedly replicates how Leigh went through their moves in training. I was asked to confirm the opinion of somebody who watched them training in the week beforehand and I was staggered by how it came to reality.
You can see why old heads like Harris and Webster do so well at this level.
Defensively, I felt your compressed defence was very good and great v Wigan. I felt you compressed too much on your line when you have to spread more and it was that compression that led to the first try. Had you played Warrington who really push the ball wide it would have created more problems.
Armistead seems likes he's a genuine player and the way I look at it, if he could offload in tackles so much v Wigan he should be awesome v NL opposition. Taylor looked very good too. That bit better than the rest IMO.
I would snatch Wigan's hands off and get long season loans for Liam Farrel (left sided second rower) and Lee Mossop (I would play Mossop as a prop and maybe Taylor too). A real punt would be Joe Mellor, a young left side halfback. Resembles Sam Tomkins in a many aspects of his play. Has a kicking game too. Mellor paired with a right sided playmaker would give you the full field to play with. See how Ridyard goes when given the right side to playmake. I see Leigh as a rugby playing team rather than crash, bang wallop outfit that say Widnes and Fax will be.

| Enjoyed the game on the whole and thought we did some good things despite not being able to breach the try line.
Was very impressed with Durbin when he came on I can see him becoming a regular (if we keep him). Watson and Ridyard looked like strangers to be honest.
I thought Armistead distributed the ball well but didn't think he made much impact in the tackle although very few did. Stanton looks like he'll be more than useful if we can get him in the clear, very quick.

Fax a crash bang wallop team? You must not have seen us play last year. We are one of, if not the best footballing teams in the division. Dont think that will change this year either.

 Oh dear
I only saw the Fax games that were televised and you just seemed ugly to me with everything going through the Aussie lad (Black). Kicks seemed a pre occupation too.
