| Fev's John Davies also picked up a two match ban. They will miss him.

Really? Well a mere ton of ackers from Ackers ain't gonna pay for His Nibs' hob nobs. Were they to award shorter sentences (I hope to keep this one that way) they could round up and fine the usuals more often and the process might pay for itself!
Seriously, Reffy, thanks for the gen.

| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "Yes, £100 fine and 4 match ban.
What do we do with this guy now
He has only recently apologised publicly for letting the club down with his behaviour at Swinton and a 7 match ban.
He obviously has not learned what representing this great club means. Speaking to him about conduct obviously is no good and will fall on death ears as it has proven again.
He is a liability and a distraction and by the time we come to week 7 he will have been paid to sit out all but 3 of our last 14 matches due to suspension.
Release him now.
He can not handle it at this level, he is probably better having a couple of seasons back in league 1 , where his actions will be less scrutinised in an environment less intense.'"
He's contracted to 2018.What options do we have available?

| So much potential, real shame he can't control it on the pitch, was it worth a 4 match ban, that arguement is rather irrelevant, the people making the decision thought it was. If/when we get into SL, do we really think he can control his hot head/temper, call it what u will. I've bemoaned tonga being injured most of the year and getting paid, but he can't help it, acton can.

| 4 games is very high .... Until you remember that he just came back from a 7 game ban and has a history of previous also. The length of this ban must surely tell him that the disciplinary board are losing patience with him, and he needs to do whatever is needed to control himself or forget what could be a great career.

We will. No complaints on the ban, he called the ref a "spineless b'stard" after he awarded one of SHudderfield's numerous dodgy tries and was rightly sin-binned and now banned (we don't want to end up like Wendyball do we?).
We're also missing Bostock, Cording and possibly Spears. Ellis could be a doubt, he's on a holiday that was booked prior to his coming out of retirement. Not sure if he's back in time.
Doubt we'll get any ringers from our friends in LS6, so we'll be a bit light in the forwards.
Easy win for Leigh, but coffers once again brimming over, so happy days

Wouldn't happen, player has to also be in agreement with move/loan.He needs to sit down and have a hard think if RL is the career he wants to continue pursuing,to be honest.

Then I'd have him training on his own and cleaning the changing rooms until he agreed to it, or retired

| Being banned for 11 of the last 14 matches must IMO amount to gross misconduct and the club could and should sack him. I cannot see any employment tribunal having sympathy with him - when by his own actions he is making himself unavailable for work.
It might seem harsh - but the club has been very patient with him - enough is enough.

We pay his wages we decide where he plays and what is best for us and the club in terms of his usefulness / potential.
All of which is diminishing as the realisation hits home he is a million miles off being a top Championship prop, never mind a Dayne Weston.
However rather than have him distract us any more I would be inclined to negotiate a severance deal and release him now.
It will be cheaper than another Acton brain fart in the MPG costing us a full season of Super League revenue. Let's be clear about that.
He has had 7 games to sit down think, along with all the other times he has been suspended.

To some point I think he was hard done by in the Swinton game, they were dishing out the rough stuff, but made an example of Jamie. The Salford game was a hard fair game ,and to do what he did could have caused a serious injury to a fellow player. For no reason the red mist seems to descend on Jamie and he goes haywire

| No sympathy with Jamie - he's got what he deserves.
[i"The contact was avoidable"
"Contact was deliberate and forceful and had the potential for serious injury on opponent who was not expecting this contact."
"This was off the ball contact with player in a vulnerable position."[/i
All the above comments by the Disciplinary Panel, are relevant to Jamie's indiscretion and that, plus his 'previous', are the reasons he copped a four match ban.
Apart from the 'previous', do any of the above accusations sound familiar with what Jamie Soward was NOT tried for, last week?
