Worth a tenner. Still worried about Leigh's defence when the opposition are throwing it about, or at kicks to the corner, our fringes seem to go AWOL. Krisnan Inu looked very rusty.

Bongser , we are still not yet playing as a team , when Nene and Inu get together they will be very good , Chamberlain impresses me , and our pack is good , yeah maybe at times our defence is a bit shaky , but Fax aren’t a bad team .For me I’m not worried about Fev either , as Bongser says it’s 2 points , Maybe not a vintage performance , but it’s a win .

I understand what you mean VL , and agree with you , if we finish above Fev it will be a positive for us , but if the GF is to be held on a nuetral ground then I suppose points difference doesn’t matter.
I think there was no malice in Fevgrinders post , I know Dave very well , he is a great bloke ,and someone I’m proud to call a friend , he loves the banter and can take a joke as well .

Do you have a link to the fact it will be a neutral venue? That would probably create another law suit. |

All I was trying to say is that points difference IMO will not make any difference to where Leigh and Fev finish in the league this year.
FWIW at this point I fancy to finish top of the league, but promotion will still come down to one game at the end of the year.

I’m sure that I read when the RFL announced that the 2023 league structures will stay the same as they are now, that the Championship GF will be at a neutral venue. But as you point out that is not what the operational rules state so I must be wrong and have dreamed it. |

I made the comment on the understanding that the top team takes home advantage, which if it is Leigh, will be very much favoured over going to your ground in my opinion. No travel, home comforts, and a field of play better suited to our team make-up right now.
I think this is going to be a really tight duel at the top and I would much rather be on the right end of the score difference come the last few games.
I of course know that promotion will ultimately come down to one game (should we get there), but a home game for us could make the small difference as I don’t confidently fancy us at your place as we look right now, if it works out that way.
I am also realistic enough to know that come the playoffs either one of us could get picked off at any stage.
