Boris and his chummies are laughing into their caviar and brandy tonight at how easy it is to fool 'Workington Man'. They planned this election back in 2015 to divert attention away from austerity. Blame the 'bloody immigrants', ally with UKIP and introduce BREXIT. For the next 3 years create chaos and division. Blame the opposition and 'Hey Presto!' - 'Workington Man' comes up Trumps (pardon the pun on Boris' new master). Well at least 'Workington Man' will be able to get voluntary work in the Food Bank growth industry.

On working class men, Honest Boris quoted, "likely to be drunk, criminal, aimless, feckless and hopeless". Thatcher systematically destroyed Leigh and the miners. Churchill called miners 'worms in the earth'. Do you really think this ruling class give a toss about 'Workington Man' They will take great pleasure in erasing 'Workington Man' completely. Well, at least 'Workington Man' has 5 years to contemplate how Honest Boris pi$$ed all over him.

Incredible, isn't it, how much the political parties can misjudge the mood of areas/towns. Brexit was what caused this election, yet the Lib Dems chose to go against the majority view on Brexit, and paid the price. Labour couldn't make up their mind, and paid the price. The Conservatives correctly read the mood of the Northern towns, and reaped the rewards.

Who the heck advises Labour & the Lib Dems? Or did their leaderships choose to completely ignore the advice about Brexit. Lessons to be learned for both of them, and Boris could do well to heed his own stated gratitude, at thousands of voters "lending" him their votes.

So, could we please have a blue 'alternative' strip?
