Definitely lost some poundage since last season thats for sure.

From what I've heard and seen he's run the ball better than everyone else this season and was harshly sent off at Fev which was rightly announced that he had no case to answer.

What changed my opinion was his response to Jamie at the Swinton game. After his outburst following the try he realised he had overreacted and that,ll do for me.

This lad wants to be on the winning side. You can,t ask for more than that.

I also think Hobbo has improved regards penalties he is certainly working hard .We do look a small side bulk wise towards other teams apart from Hobbo and Armistead and Hobbo even looks small to some forwards ie Haven and Sheffield ,the guy on the wing for the Eagles was bigger than our forwards

im gonna repeat something someone said to me not long ago,no one kept criticising tim street when he cost us penalties and got sent off numerous times,hobson does the same but is not as bad as timmy was

I remember a great prop. Jeff (Geoff) Grayson having an indian summer in his career and made the GB team. Get in there Andy Hobson.
I know he wont make the England team before you start.
I would love to see that old footage of Stan Wall poking big Jeff ( Geoff) as he was telling him off.

He has lost some weight and improved his speed. In fact, when it started hail-stoning towards the end of the Moscow game his speed to get off the field and into the dugout was immense - his great big grin at being subbed just as the weather turned told the story



All good packs need an enforcer - one who stays on the field. If he can keep the aggression controlled, a quality prop and also capable of some good handling skills in the Derek Pyke or Lee Crooks mould.

For me C.Hill has been our standout player so far. Not taking anything away from Hobson because he has been great since fev game and hope he continues to improve but for me Hill has been our best prop. His effort is immense and he makes lots of ground and is fit enough to put in bigger spells on the pitch.
