Club prejudices aside, and all that banter tosh just set aside for a mo... the British game doesn't need Rangi.
My thoughts on him are not as verbose as my mate gingdong's, but the sentiment is the same....
The man is a liability. We know some of the lads at Cas... and Leigh... And Salford.... players talk. They pass opinions just like you and I do about our work mates.
I have had the misfortune to meet Chase just the once. i found him to be a particularly unlikeable sort.
Though I do accept my opinions were formed by just a few fleeting moments, those on here who do know me (and there are a few), they know that for me to assume such a first opinion about anyone, it would the person in question to come across as quite loathsome.

Compare Rangi then with Sam. Another pantomime villain who doesn't miss an opportunity to wind fans up. When I've met Sam he comes across as a top bloke. A thoroughly likeable soul if a bit dim, and who's company I genuinely enjoyed albeit for a few minutes.
Chase is toxic. Always has been. Always will be.

I've spoken to Rangi quite a few times since he signed for the Centurions I've found him very friendly and a good laugh I hope he gets stuck in and plays out the rest of the season at Leigh

Couldn't agree more.He for me can turn a game at any point. Get your playing head on Rangi,the North stand will back you lad.

Just been reported on Sky, that Hull KR are interested in signing Rangi.

Well i for one would be happy if we got rid, if i had a pound for every time somebody said, on his day he's a great player, wellni could pay his contract instead of the club. Its a shame its not worked out, but not a surprise.

Being a business man first and foremost I think that (if this is all true about him leaving) Derek will want some of the investment back if he goes. The club is not going to say he is sacked as every man and his dog will be on the phone.

Apparently Derek has announced it in his Leigh Observer Column. Something about pursuing something away from the game. He has agreed to release him but protected the clubs interests at the same time.

Thought he could have taken us to the next level but he has just never got going and is clearly a troubled guy off the field. Still, you can't miss what you've never really had. 5 games (and he went off injured in 2 of them) is a poor return on a supposed star player. Guess it frees up a huge chunk of salary cap though as I would imagine he was the highest paid player in the Championship. Doubt Drinkwater is on anything like Rangi's wages and hopefully will prove to be a more reliable and committed player.
