Bingo. There is a massive incentive to do well next year. With the players Fev are rumored to have signed you cant really look past them for next year which leaves Sheffield, Leigh and Fax probably scrapping for 2nd. |

There may be changes afoot if teams can prove they can spend more money. I think the plan from the RFL will be to have the top teams in the Championship been able to compete with the bottom teams in SL if they go for the split in to 8`s option. Fev and Fax have already splashed the cash for next season, Batley probably dont have the means to spend more than they do, Sheffield its hard to say. In most peoples eyes they probably live above their means but they must have very good income streams to get the players they do. That leaves Leigh and as an outsider looking in I really have no idea if they can compete with the big spenders or if they are still sorting the finances out. |

Salary cap shouldn't be any different in 2014 to this year. Overspending in 2014 should result in the club not receiving any monies in 2015. Only my opinion. Also can't see the RFL giving fev too many favours after hearing of all the complaints to the RFL the money man there has caused over the last 2/3 years.

Leigh have already announced that Paul Rowley will have a bigger player budget (i.e. more money, not bigger players  ) next season. The new Board is charged with raising that extra funding. |

Salary Cap is same next year as it is this.
Paul has been given the green light not only to retain who he wanted from the existing squad but to strengthen for next year which we shall do/ have done.
Its true next year is a big year as top two will receive major funds in comparison to the rest for 2015.

I dont like to get too optimistic. Deep down with the signings we have made I would be disappointed if we didnt finish at least 2nd. I know all too well being a Fax fan that we dont always meet expectations. Take this season at the beginning of the year I thought we had the best team on paper but were maybe a bit light in the halfs. 1st round out of the NRC and apart from catching Sheffield cold on the first day we have been poor against the 2 best teams in the league and we hit the back end of the season not expecting too much in the playoffs.
Its a good league where anyone can beat anyone on their day. Take Leigh winning the NRC final, having beaten Fev and Leigh, not many people outside Leigh would have put money on that from a team that on paper looked about 4th/5th best in the league with Batley.
