Just applying a bit of common sense, amidst the welcome euphoria around the club there seem to have been a distinct change in approach on the pitch. Not only is foul play and fighting being appreciated in the cause it seems to be being encouraged. With the playoffs approaching it would be ridiculous if fans were blaming suspensions for a lack of success.
Seven penalties per game is obviously not a problem but brawling is.

Fans not attending is a repetitive whinge from a few posters, my posts have nothing to do with that subject.

Let me state loud and clear that as a coach and the Dad of a young referee, I do not condone foul play.

there comes a time when enough is enough, and I totally agree with Alex's Dad here.
My old school rugby coach was the most influential person in my young rugby life. His stance was, the first time you get hit just shake your head and smile at them. The second time you get hit, you shake your head and laugh back at them. The third time, you give it back and rest of the team better be right behind you.

Having watched the brawl again on CTV I have to say it was more like a Union rolling maul, loads of shirt grabbing and not much action.

If you can slow it down it looks like someone gives Heaton a sneaky upper cut as he is being dragged away about 2 seconds into the ruck. I'm not sure who it was.

I presume Bate not playing today was down to a early guilty plea when will we find out his ban Tuesday?
