Don't worry Binosh. The vast majority (well just about everyone actually) are very happy to have Andy and anyone else directly involved with the club, posting on this forum. It is great to have rumor answered from the source and has already headed off several threads that in the past would have spiraled out of control.
My personal opinion is that there has always been a very small minority on this forum who post only to goad people into reaction and cause argument. I support their freedom of speech but question their motives. Constructive criticism is healthy for this forum and the club, and I have seen it quickly accepted on this forum by Andy, Maurice and others. Endless personal attacks, and name calling do nothing for the the club or this forum. It seems that a couple of posters go further right now and are actually trying to de-rail the great step forward taken by the new BOM. Each to their own but in my mind they need to look in the mirror and ask why they are really doing it.
Call me a Placky Leyther, a member of the gang, what ever you want for that matter, I don't give a fluff. Keep on posting Andy, Maurice and all please. Don't rise to the bait of some and continue to acknowledge the constructive criticism of others.
Now back on topic. Ryan is without doubt a SL player. I'm not sure he is ready tomorrow, but he will be very soon. I really, really hope that we can hold on to him as he is one of the players that will project us onward and upward as things now begin to change in the structure of the leagues. I urge the BOM to do what ever they can to keep him on board as he will put bums on seats with his style of play.
To Ryan I say, if you choose to move to a SL club then choose very carefully. You will get offers from many in the future, you are that good mate. However, consider them all carefully and don't go for short term gain over long term happiness and support. Staying with Leigh could tick all the boxes in the very near future from what I'm seeing lately from the BOM.

Back to topic, I actually think going to Cas would be a good move for RYan. I think he's quite a way to go yet before he's a SL player and the full time training etc. that Cas would provide would get him there quicker than if he stayed at Leigh. I also assume he would be on better money there. If he went to a top SL team, he would just end up back at a Championship team as part of the DR (or whatever it's called now). With Cas he has a chance of at least a few first team appearances I think.

You have made the wrong assumption. I also love the club. I have watched Leigh home and away for the last 45 years. Just recently however there have been decisions made that I disagree with so strongly I can't stand by and watch it happen without strongly voicing my opinion.
The loss of P&R has killed the game at this level for me. Every game is a friendly.
I do not agree with DR players or us being told which Wigan reserve players we have to play.
Please don't assume that everyone who doesn't agree with you is trying to kill the club. That isn't true. But also don't get led into a fall sense of complacency by the few sychophants who post regularly on here. There are 4,000 people out there who watched Leigh at Widnes in the GF when we beat Whitehaven, they have opinions as well and I'll think the majority of them will agree with me (and even Wysiwyg). It is them you have to win round. I actually think you are going in the right direction, but don't under estimate the task.

Use of the ignore button when someone isn't toeing the party line surely gives a false sense of accord. Ignoring dissenters isn't the correct way, much better to read and rebuke.

Why do you believe Wigan tell us who to play?
Why does your staying away help the club have choices regarding DR, surely it takes the choices away- in effect your actions force DR on the club next year?
There were 30000 at wembley in 71 27000 of which weren't there the following season, we have a town full of whingers like you looking for excuses and being a part of the disease whilst believing they hold the cure

Nostra, if they can't be bothered to read press releases and interviews with the people concerned why bother replying. Some are basing there absence purely on NON factual information. I have long stated that people not coming have helped put the club in the position the new BOM are trying to lift us from. If the reason is valid then fine, if its clearly invalid then we will never get them back anyway.

Only thing I do agree with them on is that no promotion or relegation to the top league is damaging our game.

Frank it depends which way you look at it. For arguments sake say we want Player X but he's carrying water for W***n that week - we get offered Player Y or whoever they decide to make available instead. OK we always have the option not to use Player Y, but the point is our "partners" decide on a whim who's available to us on a weekly basis, so in that sense they do dictate who we are able to play. The old system of loans was much better but didn't offer as much control to the SL clubs.

Personally I haven't stayed away from any games or cancelled LISA/Lifeline etc over it, or as I agree those courses of action only hurt our club. However that isn't to say I support the DC system or our partnership with our neighbours - far from it. The club also shouldn't assume that the current fanbase is all in favour of duals and partnerships, just because we didn't all spit our dummies out.

My biggest current gripe with it at the moment is that we're also letting DR's take up spots in our U21s - spots we should be using to develop our own players. We already know we're losing Hoppy at the end of the season & should be pushing development of our own youngsters even harder with a view to accelerating the next one through to play for us next season - Bate, for example looks a good prospect and is no doubt the result of a lot of hard work in our youth setup. Identifying and signing our own young prospects offers the biggest benefit to development in general as it gives a chance to players who weren't initially snapped up by the W***n's etc, and hopefully results in players that would be contracted to Leigh should they make the grade. Any DR player in a U21 spot for me is preventing us developing one of our own, for very little benefit to their parent club, whilst also working against the interests of our own club, and so for me is just wrong.

While dual reg's are the flavour of the month I can see an argument that says we may have to put up with them. But I certainly don't like our current situation with them. IMO we should use them as little as possible, certainly not become reliant on them (as I feel we have with 1 of our forward spots each week), not allow them to prevent our own players stepping up (first example comes to mind I still haven't seen an answer as to what young Hill did wrong in the first team however no further opportunities since, while we've seen Lloyd & others brought into the team on occasions). And finally we should not let them interfere with our own development of our own young players in the U21s.
