You win matches by scoring more points over 80 minutes than your opponents. You haven't done this so far in the 8s, so after three matches you have no points. Funny how you won at Wakey in the cup after being behind as far as your fans are concerned due to your brilliance but lost to us in the 8s after being well in front due to your mistakes. There is no acknowledgement of your opponents. You lost the first 8s match because you outplayed us in the first half but we completely outplayed you in the second. Many of your mistakes were forced upon you by our pressure. You lost on ability because you were not able to score more points than we did. You can come out with all this we should have done this or that but the fact remains that you get points for being the highest scorer at the end of the match, nothing else matters. Still if all this "We've given away two games" makes you feel better.......

I expect you will win some of your remaining four matches and I sincerely hope you do but whether you can win two more than the Bulls and make up the points difference to get to 4/5 spot remains to be seen. If its a choice between you and the Bulls for promotion it's the Bulls every time for me as it's not so far to travel.

I don't disagree. All I am saying is we need a bit more smartness when in these winning positions to be able to close out games. As should Wakefield when we played them in the cup and Bradford on opening day of season.

You did not throw them away. In both instances you were beaten by better teams. Maybe in Wakey's case a very slightly better team. Again you do not acknowledge the input of your opponents. You played as well as you were allowed to play. If you made mistakes it was because your players were not good enough to play when the pressure was on.

No opinion can be wrong of course. I just don't think our opinion is supported by the facts.

The error leythig is referring to was an unforced error by Emmitt, throwing a pass when he didn't need to - no pressure from wakey players, just a brain fart by Emmitt.

You won, we lost. Simple as that. But plenty of leythers will feel Saturday was a missed opportunity. That's not arrogance - it was a close game

Player not good enough then! That mistake in isolation was not responsible for you losing the match. You spurned kicks at goal and drop goal attempts before the Wakey drop goal. Smith saw the situation decided on a drop goal attempt and was skilful enough to score. Non of your players saw the value of kicking a goal when the opportunity arose.

Don't want to say I told you so, but.....

Not the least bit surprised, and to tell the truth only slightly disappointed. Seen it all before. This is a way of life for an experienced Leyther - hopes built up and if there's a remote chance of letting you down they'll find it.

Actually dreading next season - can't see us having as good a chance of going up again. Remember it's only last year we ended a run of ten seasons with not a single playoff victory.

Were does this confidence come from? A lot of Leigh fans have poor judgement...... Our style of play isn't suited to the modern day structured philosophy.

Suppose it comes from me being a diehard Leigh fan.
