I think Donlan was our best player tonight. Wonder tackle over our line and took every ball. Ridyard was awful, but he is very inconsistent anyway, his defence is poor at the best of times. I think there are a lot of Leythers taking this defeat way out proportion. We missed Nanyn. Robbie, Bibey and Armitstead were clearly playing with injuries. Taylor and Goulden emptied half their yeds all over the pitch. We look tired and fatigued. I agree we need pace out wide, but Rome wasn't built in a day. We have about 12 players who are good enough, and when they are fit we can carry the average players, when we miss a few of these and they play with injuries, we are an average side.

I watched the game last night as a neutral and I personally thought that Leigh looked like a team that had been over coached in that every time you attacked it was always a set play that you came up with and on the night Ridyard wasnt good enough to execute it. Both teams had half backs that are very much off the cuff players and while Harrison allowed Handforth and Moore to do that to great effect Paul and Ridyard kept going for the same plays that had been constantly hitting a brick wall

Very good points those mate, not sure about being overcoached but I think they have got stuck using the same moves that have worked up until the Bradford game. As soon as they showed teams how to beat us we have struggled big time.

Firstly i would like to say that we congratulated KH and a number of Batley fans after the game ,they totally out enthused us and made us look very ordinary to say the least .Looking at Bibey last night i was very dissappointed at his go forward ,i dont think he broke through once and yet Higson managed it and so did Hilly and others ,he just does'nt seem to be using his weight.Another thing i noticed was how quick the Batley lads were playing the ball ,our lads had'nt even got off the floor never mind back on side on more than one occasion allowing them to easily break the line .Dont know what has happened to our defence but i hope they find it soon !A Batley fan commented about our lack of pace out wide too.

Riddy is not 100% fit needs a hernia op but despite not having his best of games gave 100% IMO.

Funny how people make allowances for some player but not others personally thought Robbie Paul had a poor game as well. For me Leigh are to flat on attack no good against an in your face defence as clearly illustrated last night.

Thanks,Robbie Paul had the same arrogant attitude when Batley drew Leigh in the National Rail Cup.I think the Batley team have given there response over the last 2 games for Batley's '44' supporters to his arrogance.
