Whatever your opinion of Rowley, he's controlled the Championship in 2018 down to the very last game. I'll be very surprised if Toronto are not in SL in 2019.

I utterly reject the concept of N. American teams in British RL. (and French ones for that matter) That said, Toronto now deserve a crack at SL, having jumped through all the playing hoops they were asked to jump through.

One or two hoops were considerably larger than usual.

And if further proof is still required about Rowley, then I suggest they watch the second half of our 2015 opening middle 8s game v Hull Kingston Rovers. We were 24.6 up.

At least the expansive Rugby League being played in our own half was enjoyable for some on our way to inevitable defeat.

We were playing towards the North Stand, but Lee Smith hit the winning DG,again in front of the North Stand, for Wakefield.

We were 16-6 up at one stage in that game also. It proved to be our third straight middle 8s loss, in part due to Rowleys tactical ineptitude to switch from plan A.
