Stats from the game were truly awful yet the club have seen fit to make a poster up highlighting how many tackles our scrum half had to make with a quote from the coach about how we played some good stuff!

Yes, the teams at the bottom are genuinely down on their luck as a rule of thumb. In any sport.

Ask Sam Allardyce or Sean Dyce at Burnley Association football club and they will clarify that point I am sure.

Yes we have been unlucky with some decisions, we have benefitted as well. Do you think a HKR player touched the ball when Langi chucked it behind Dawson? That earned us a repeat set on Rovers line that we wasted again. HKR and Sean Lunt did not waste their good fortune and that is the difference my friend.

Do I think there is a RFL conspiracy against Leigh RLFC and it's players as your post could allude to? Come on, do me a favour, that is a lot of people involved in a conspiracy and it would have to include every SINGLE referee and every SINGLE member of the RFL match review and disciplinary committee all punishing your mate Acton with it?

Also can you please stop mentioning Mr Acton in every second post you make. You know how upset and worked up I get at a sheer mention of that man's name. icon_evil.gif

In fact what we should do is simultaneously ban all referrals to him on here to run parallel with every time he earns himself a ban on the field. Let's implement it.

Does He? I wonder why he is not happy in the jersey and at the club then? I do not believe he gives a flying about anything but himself and if he did he would be available for team selection.

Oh for crying out loud, we are now on about this imbecile yet again. He is not good for my health. I am going to go out for a nice pleasant and enjoyable stroll in the sunshine !

No further action on Scruton (Rightly in my personal opinion - it's a game of physical contact) for the shoulder charge, as the off-the-ball contact with Drinkwater was 'on the body' and there was 'no contact with the head'. It now appears that one of the criteria for charging a player is contact to the head. Last season it must have been different, because Acton's contact with Flanagan was 'on the body'!

We can't keep blaming the referee. We should never have been in that position. It's down to the coaching team that Leigh chose to play a predictable one man rugby game with a kick on the last tackle. It's their game plan. It was so easy to read and control. We should be playing a more expansive game.

I've given up on Conspiracies since JFK icon_lol.gif
I'm sorry H but I just cant get Acton's treatment out of my head icon_biggrin.gif I have never know any other player to be treated as harshly in all the years I've watched the game at Leigh,or anywhere else icon_evil.gif
I wish Jamie had played on Saturday, Jewitt wouldn't have been bullying us the way he did icon_rolleyes.gif
We saw the treatment Ben Reynolds received at Catalan yet, no Catalan player was punished for it!
If we target Walsh on Saturday and, break his nose, will our players receive no punishment?
Also watch the last visit to Catalan and in the 78th minute with us attacking their line, Gigot blatantly kicked the ball at the PTB! two tackles later and Jamie is getting up to play the ball when, Sam Moe very subtly nudged the out of Jamies grasp with his knee! both could and should have brought us penalties then, we could have gone offside deliberately for the last couple of minutes icon_rolleyes.gif These incidents just sum up our season for me icon_sad.gif
Is there any other team in these qualifiers playing three SL teams consecutive weeks? even the fixture computer is conspiring against us, remember the 'easy' start we had this season? Cas,Leeds,Saints and Wigan!! welcome back Leigh we've missed you eusa_liar.gif eusa_liar.gif

It was a shoulder charge on Drinkwater and the rules today do not permit the use of your shoulder in the tackle and, he was face on with Josh! Again, would Jamie Acton have escaped punishment for it?
That push on Flanagan last year and a subsequent four match ban is nearly as bad as the four month one he's currently serving icon_sad.gif Don't forget Jamies 'push' wasn't seen during the game! only by our friends at the Review centre icon_rolleyes.gif
I'd love know what Widnes player Houston has on the RFL , that push on Ref Phil Bentham, you would have thought it would end his season!

I agree with you. I know the rules don't allow for shoulder charges, but the disciplinary interpretation of everything now seems to revolve around injuries to the head. Obviously it's 'ifs' and 'buts', but I would wager that Acton would have been punished for that shoulder charge, or Bird's reckless challenge on Reynolds. (deliberate or not)

Jason Donohue copped a Sine Die once as I'm sure you recall, but this was quickly overturned. Jamie is a bit like "Timmy The Great" but of course in 2017 nothing gets dismissed by the refs. When Jamie matures a bit, he will be a Leigh legend I have little doubt. The best description I've heard to describe him "he'll run through a brick wall". Guess we all have to be patient on this potential.

Thats the level we have been playing all season. Thats the level we are at. Our first two games where Championship sides! Not sure what your point is on that one.

Not sure of my point? There are 8 teams in the qualifiers, 4 SL and 4 Championship and I cant think any of the Coaches would choose to play 3 SL teams consecutivly or, for the Championship teams it would be four SL teams consecutively! Its 'common sense' that those fixtures would be harder to contest, irrespective of what level you are used to playing at! to my knowledge, we are the only club faced with this prospect?

Last week I suggested we play all three Hookers against KR,(you didnt get my point then!), I knew what a threat Shaun Lunt would pose to us and, by playing three Hookers I thought that might keep him occupied and drain some of the extrodinary strengh and energy he possess? Jukes and Cooke had apparently travelled over to KR last week to prepare us ready to face them! Did they not see what a threat Lunt was to us? and, if they did then their tactics to combat him failed miserably!
To answer your rude question, (have Boots delivered your prescription yet?)I do not use boots!

You may not be aware that Hull KR are another team that have to play 3 Super League Teams consecutively over 3 weeks in this set of Qualifiers icon_wink.gif

We need to attack the game this weekend, a must win for both teams whoever looses has a difficult few weeks. This qualifiers may go down to points difference this year as to who is in the MPG. Each game a cup final now and test of mental strength. A few attacking changes and we can do it, be good to get Hock back but sounds unlikely.
