The conversation was about Fui (with the ball) running at Brough but I can understand if he feels the need to dance out of the way.

We went past the 4000 mark this afternoon.
"Leigh Centurions @LeighCenturions 6h6 hours ago
Are you one of over 4000 people who has already got their ticket for Saturday's game? Let's get @LSV08 bouncing."
Still 2 days to go plus the usual walk ups so should be a very decent crowd indeed despite being on sky.

Interesting this we've been pilloried for crowds of five, six or seven thousand and the 3,800 we got for the London game discounting the dozen or so visiting supporters albeit Friday night in the school holidays.
The last time we played you in an equivalent game albeit ages ago the crowd was 8,000 plus at the John Smiths.
We will take anything from 400 to a 1,000 but surely bearing in mind you get promoted if you win the other three sides of the ground should be packed to the rafters ??
When we played Wakey for the LLS there just shy of 10,000 and it was on Sky not having ago but if you can't fill your bit for a potential promotion is 80 minutes away match then you will have the same problem as us a hard core of 4,000 fans and in your case Beaumonts money not Ken Davy's.

How do we compare relative to the town’s population?

Leigh population 43,000 Huddersfield 121,000 however you haven't a Championship football club doing £179 season tickets for 23 games. They have sold 15,000 there are a lot support both teams and on Saturday Huddersfield Town are at Leeds Utd which will affect our following a bit. They are also currently top of the table and off to their best start in years which will attract the floating fans as we have been 'pap' for most of this season.

No offence mate but no SL club has a tougher time re other sporting teams than Leigh, as you all keep singing "we are just a small club in Wigan).Apart from Wigan RL we have St Helens and Warrington within 10 miles and 4 of the best supported Premier League clubs in Utd, City, Liverpool and Everton within spitting difference. You have had years to build up your club, so lucky there was no relegation when you kept finishing bottom and no matter what you say a much much bigger population than Leigh.

Huddersfield were the problem that no relegation or promotion solved.
And in my opinion did solve - they had space to become contenders. Widnes too.
I don't begrudge you guys your success, and fully intend to be there when it happens. If you don't win this weekend I'll be back for the Batley game and there'll be few happier than me when it happens.
I do think a properly managed licensing scheme is the answer though.

| Huddersfield have sold less than 200 so far, which for a huge game is shocking. So if the other 800 turn up on the day great. I would say looking at the ticketing site we are at about 5000 home sales and we will have to sell tickets for the South or open the East very soon. It will be bouncing on Saturday and I will be able to say ''I was there''.
Utd v City will hit the gate as will Celtic v Rangers and Bolton being at home, tap room know it alls will never attend anyway and Saturday is a working day for many round here but we will still have 6000+ Leythers screaming the lads on and living the dream - God will it be noisey

U could argue with the Manchester derby kicking off early alot of people might have had a few drinks and decide to carry on the day and go watching Leigh so it could improve the gate

Mo, all this Spin Doctoring of the gate won't alter anything ,yeah a few will be missing because of various other games,of the round ball variety, but I know 6 Leythers who are going tomorrow who haven't been for a while, and I spoke to a guy from Golborne this morning who has never been to the LSV he watches SL games ie,Wigan, Warrington, Saints ,and Salford when they are at home, he told me he was going tomorrow and would buy 2 Season Tickets next year if we get into SL,my point being folk will follow Leigh as momentum builds.
If we do get into SL next year ,we must set targets of around 5000 to 6000 as an average gate.

Ye I agree but the clubs already got their money so the turn up on the day fan is a bonus and if u really had a leigh season ticket there is no way I would miss this game with a massive chance of promotion for a game of football that is only at the beginning of their season and there's another 30 games left to play
