Sammut, 1st game for us this season
Riley,
Hall, out of position at centre
Arundel, debut for us
Owen,
Miller,
T Smith, played injured
Simon, 1st game back after injury
McShane,
Griffin, on loan 2nd row playing his 1st game for us
Kirmond, playing injured
Washbrook,
D Smith.
Trout, junior playing his 1st game of the season
Ryan, just back from injury
Godinet, 1st game back from injury, reinsured during the game
Lauitiiti.
But that's not the whole story, we were so busted for players that for definite Kirmond and T Smith played with an injury and we had no preperation leading into the game(s) because not enough players were fit enough to put a decent session on.

| Every championship side should be hoping you guys go over there and come away with the win. It would give those with any aspirations of gaining promotion a real boost heading into the middle 8's.
A narrow defeat would be disappointing, but I think it would still set us all up quite well for the end of the season, knowing that a bounce of the ball or a few 50/50 calls could change the result.
The worst case scenario is if you go over there and are comfortably beaten. I don't for one second think this will happen, but it would certainly deflate me and many others about our chances of going up if it did.
I can't wait to watch it regardless of the outcome, should be a cracker!

| A point to consider between us and Salford is that our pack battered Salfords when we played them earlier in the season, we did the same to Sts pack in our narrow loss to them and destroyed the HKR pack when we beat them comfortably.

12 is hardly a battering, especially the way we play, I was thinking Leigh win somewhere between 1 to 2 trys. Not forgetting cup games tend to have a few scores at the end as the loosing team gets desperate, one team or the other usually scores. Was on about fans from either side thinking their team would just walk all over the other and win by some great big margin with the other team never in the game. It'll be close, the lead could go backwards and forwards a few times but in the end I think we'll win, possibly by 6 or 7 with a nice Riddy drop goal 5 min from the end to steady the nerves (was convinced Salford we're going to score those last 2 min on Saturday & ruin everything, don't want that stress again )

| It's up to you but do you not think you may be setting yourselves up for a fall?
If you don't win this forum will get hammered - trust me - and there will be no acceptable excuses from you lot after the bragging some of you have been doing.
Surely it's best to keep your powder dry until the deed is done, just a suggestion.
Personally like many Trinity fans I'm nervous of playing you but at the moment I'm nervous of us playing anybody. However I'm less nervous of this game because the pressure is off - SL is far more important for us at the moment as I'm sure you understand.
So if you win great and best of luck, if not never mind.
Thanks for your time and enjoy your season.

And, now, they know there's a good chance they'll be in that SL bottom 4 and they're bothered about that too, which is understandable.
Beating Halifax at home in the cup, though, isn't an achievement. They're clutching at straws.
I said in a earlier post, if Wakey are still in their current predicament when we play them, they'll not even have the confidence to compete against what we'll take there.'"
To be fair that thread has nothing to do with the CCup game - it was more to do with who would be the hardest opponents from the Championship in the bottom 8 comp.
The bit about Halifax is a poor comment, they looked just about as good as you did IMHO, but hey if you're that arrogant so be it.
The rest of your post is just opinion and the less said about it the better.

I never said a battering. And 1 to 2 trys could be 12 and that's what i think we will win by.

We're at the bottom because we have not been good enough simple as that, as regards the pack 4 of the 6 props missing 3 second rowers out from a small squad, that's 25% of our squad not to mention other players' out like our 2 main centres', it's not difficult to understand why we are where we are.

So just for my understanding the 17 you say will beat us all played against Wire?

3 points for you to consider :-
1) our pack smashed wigan in Feb
2) weve won 21 games on the trot... 25 if you count friendlies
3) we lost to last years winners by 13 points in the last 7 mins away from home as a PT team by playing 55 mins of the match with 2 subs and no centres
bring on the 17th May.....
