Well the Wire certainly took their foot of the gas in our friendly for the second half when a Leigh side missing 5 of their first team lost the second half 24-16 to a full strength Warrington side with a salary cap of £1.6million.

Leigh were dreadful yesterday. Warrington will have a similar experience I expect.

No excuses our team played very badly yesterday and they know it.

Never a good place to go is York in the first place, doesn't help if you play poorly like apparently Leigh did. Hopefully the players and staff can pick it up for Sunday or else another loss could well be on the cards.

Now we were told yesterday that it was the 1st game for York by their fans and the lad who was doing the kicking was there on trial and he asked could his mate come along for a trial as well and it was that big begger causing us problems ,he plays ametuer rugby and that came from the lads dad(the kicker) .Oh and another thing their second try was'nt one ,he put it down on the side line which the York fans agreed with but it was'nt that which bothered me it was the fact that they were in a position to score tries on numerous occasions but fluffed them thank goodness and i think that we must have notched up the most knock-ons in 1 game ,it was very embarressing to watch ,just wish it had been foggy like at STs so we could have missed most of it

Also heard we are getting the dual players next week from Warrington and 1 from another club ,well i bl@@dy well hope so .

We COULD also have signed 13 internationals but we didnt so he has to work with whom he and others signed but obviously the head coach didnt see it as a priority or could it be there was no money left in the 'kitty', hindsight is a wonderful thing.

But many of us poor speccies knew that some of our current squad were not good enough or fast enough so why did whoever signed them not see it?

of the current squad dont have either of those, not helped by playing a one dimensional stand off who,s play can be read like a Janet n John book, get Ridyard into the stand off position and things will improve always better having a halfback who can do the unpredictibale like Ridyard can , put Hartley in centre with Alstead on the wing
and explain to the rest that they have to up the anti and put the oppo on the back foot
with smart plays and 100% more commitment to make up for their lack at this present time

I'll probably get shot down for this but isn't everyone being all doom and gloom on here? Yes Robbie and the side was awful but it's still early days and we will improve and I don't think Robbie will played a game as poor as that for some years,for some to say he's a waste of money, should of got somebody else etc is deluded IMO.
