A terrible refereeing performance, who battered Leigh, and allowed Sheff to be off side on every occasion, as for the tj's what exactly are there jobs??

I can only assume he took sheff back more than 10 on every occasion, surely?

Brilliant team performance, lets hope we can play let this for the rest of the season!

Starbug mentioned over the last week the team that offloads the most wins!! We must have offloaded in the first ten minutes more than we have all season.

And that tackle by JT, I think my ribs were bruised by that icon_lol.gif not surprised he didn't get up very quickly!!

Well done lads eusa_clap.gif

Now lets look at it another way.

2 drives per set in first 5 mins. Now if Sheffield didn't have the ball at all, then I would be pretty impressed. Unfortunately, what you mean is that he had taken 8 drives in a total of 5 minutes as Leigh had 4 sets of 6 (or there abouts)

If that upholds his contribution, then my friend WC has a point!! icon_exclaim.gif

I reckon we were on top for a good 65 minutes, and every single player played his part in that win. It would have been a travesty, if they had nicked it - or as an Eagles fan said, in an email to me today, if Sheffield had won, it would have been on Crimewatch, this week! icon_lol.gif

Whether the ref's decisions were baffling, or not, the fact is that he gave a lot more of them in favour of Sheffield, than he did us! As PR said on the radio, afterwards, 'if the Leigh fans continue to make a noise like that, maybe we'll eventually get a penalty too!'

Well done to all 17 plus the coaching team today - they got it spot on. And I do believe that's Sheffield's biggest League defeat, this season!

You are having a laugh right, dont think the ref or the touch judges knew what off side was ,it was riddiculous the way they either did'nt see or chose to ignore it take your pick but either way it was out of order.

Well said Alan, I notice all the moaning gits are not on today, funny when we gat a result they are missing yet lets lose a couple and they remind me of those old crones you see on pictures of the french revolution, the ones that sat at the base of the guillotine knitting and cackling.

As for the ref well I don't know where you were sat JC but from where I was and those around he had a bl**dy stinker, and one would think the camera never lies.

Was talking to someone today Si about his go forward yesterday but it,s not worth a row of beans imo if his defence is shocking.

He did play his best game for a long time though and I,ll never forget the time he tore a strip of Jimmy Durban when we played Swinton in the NRC cup prelimanary rounds last season. icon_smile.gif

When Hobbo was on though the Eagles forwards were not at all happy and ran well when he was off, that must say something when the opposing players respect - or should that be fear icon_smile.gif - him

Much happier after that 1 st half display , we played with confidence and did indeed off load more in the opening ten than we have all season

If we can play that way for the rest of the season we should not be troubling Hunslet next year

But 3 tries in 6 minutes icon_rolleyes.gif

Big Mick showed how dangerous he can be in this league , we just need to get the ball out to him on the move

We must be looking for something next week up at Barrow as Batley dont play , it would be a massive boost to move back above them

It's a big ask, but Barrow have lost three of their last four, and four of their last six, plus they've sacked Brocklehurst, who was a big influence. So, if we play like we did for 60-65 minutes yesterday, we'll give Barrow something to think about. Certainly, when we played them at home, Barrow looked very ordinary for the first 40 minutes - although the second 40, they were rather good!

It was interesting to hear PR after the game. He reckons we play well against teams who keep it tighter, and (usually!) score from close range - i.e. Widnes and Sheffield, but need to come to terms with teams who don't play that style - i.e. Barrow and Halifax.
