In a newpaper article dated 1st March 2009, Williams says his number one priority remains boxing. Coming to England to play rugby league would therefore not help his boxing career; if that's the sport he wishes to concentrate on.

But on another thread someone explains the visa and sponsor ship regqirements perhaps you (and others) should take a look at this before making themselves look complete idiots.

So why is he playing country rugby in Australia? when the main boxing circuit is in Sydney? It would appear he dosn't know which way is which and on the bais of that artice alone anything he says should be taken with a pinch of salt. That or his agent is putting his name about for contracts? But why has HE applied for a visa as no one else can do so for him? or has that little fact escaped people? |

I agree Neil should have waited until the guy was here and wearing the shirt but some people will try and get any political capital they want for their own ends, whatever that is, some of the posts on here are laughable in their naivety if they think that the RFL would offer to sponsor a player who doesn't want to come or that the border control agency would even conider a visa application submitted by a third person.
