FFS! How did the ref miss that knock on then! I reckon we would have scored had we had the ball. Do we ever get any luck!

To be fair the ball just seemed to hit the Sheffield player, he knew nothing about it so it probably was the right call. Couple of tough decisions on both teams but a top quality game but Sheffield are on fire at the moment and pretty much dominated the game without putting the points on the board so IMO Leigh can take heart they got so close.

We did not play well by any means, but that was crucial, and went against us, again.

Sheffield where the best team on the night to be honest.Nevermind always next year, and i feel the Final will be a low Crowd attendance.

not the ref's fault, for 70 minutes we were dire, Hunslet would have beaten us tonight.

We fell off tackles for 60 minutes and our execution was poor most of the game, but we still could of won had 1 or 2 decisions gone our way. overall we've exceeded expectations but i'm still gutted.

Very true BZ, very true. I do not feel anything like as pished off as last week. One day we will win a play off game!

my little lad is gutted,the first thing he said to me is why does brierley not get on earlier of each half.he scored a great try with his footwork and speed out wide.yeah bad calls again by the ref but the touch judges didnt wanna get involved.we were crap first half and we just didnt have the size in the pack to tire them out early enough for it to count.get some size in the forwards and we will be alreet for next year.

Give Sheffield some credit it's not that we where dire Sheffield s defensive effort for much of the game was first class our pack was second best all night nearly every tackle we made on there pack we never put them on their back resulting in quick play the balls when they tackled us they put us over resulting in slow play the balls . The last 10 mins where great and Leigh should have won it once again the coaching staff brought on Ryan B too late when the lad came on he made a massive difference in my opinion and should have started the game Duffy Beswick and Nico interchanging throughout the game,.
Been a great effort from all the staff and players this season with such a small squad and I've really enjoyed watching the lads my favourite game being against Leeds in the QF Challenge Cup great effort against the World Champions which the scorline did,nt reflect.
Just a great pity that Rob Parker, Sam Hopkins and Tommy Goulden got injured massive firepower gone with those three out things would have been different but for those injurys..
Roll on next season I think it's gonna be the best for a long long time

Nicho was outstanding tonight and can't understand why he didn't come back sooner as Beswick was at best off form

Nicho was probably the only player to have made a break in that first half and worked his nads off in defence. He did look knackered towards the end of the first half though so I can understand that he was rested for a little bit longer or Sheffield would have picked him off all night.

When did Kez and Deano finally take the field, 50 mins or so. That mean`t that JT and TG were our only 2 subs used of the 4 rotation.

At the end of the day, that wasn't a performance of a team that should be contesting the Grand Final. Unfortunately, it seemed like a carbon copy of the previous 2 play-off games vs. Sheffield.

Full credit to Sheffield. They compete well and make life difficult for us, and when it matters they take their chances clinically. QLT was outstanding. They certainly know how to win play-off footy.

Leigh on the other hand, despite having lots of good field position just can't get over the line due to bad luck & poor decision making. Compared with Sheffield who look like scoring whenever they get near our line, we look like we could play all night and not get over the line. Once we went behind we started to panic and that just increase the bad decision making. Frustratingly, we can't afford to increase the intensity for 10 minutes at the end of the game and expect to win. A couple of close decisions went against us in the 2nd half, which may have changed the outcome, but it shouldn't detract from what was a good Sheffield performance, and at best an average Leigh performance.

Overall, a disappointing end to a good season.
