| Myself and a few others were vilified for suggesting that Paul Rowley wasn't the right man for the job. A few games in and the knives are being sharpened.
We were saved from relegation last time he was in charged by Gateshead's demise, at least there is no relegation this season.
Hopefully we can get a decent coach in next year, that's if there's a club because playing like that won't attract the crowds to break even.

If its my post I don't really care. There have been a group of people who have worked their backsides off to get this club to where it is and for People to post stuff like that after two league games it riddicous.

| Theres enough senior players and seasoned pro's at this club to do well this season, being beaten off both of last years grand finalists, and a very good batley side is not much to worry about given how this squad has been chucked together. So if some of the clowns on here want to sack a coach 2 games into the league, after losing to a top three side in batley(IMO) and the best team in this competition for the last three years, then i hope the board show a little more perserverance. We'd become the chelsea of the championship, with managers coming in every two months. and that is nowhere near the route we need to be taking. Rowley might get things wrong, but we'll win more than we lose this year and for me given all that has gone before, that'll do. But as i have said, this squad is a top three squad (fev, batley us/fax), but adjustments must be made. he can motivate this team, i am certain of it, but he needs to adjust his selection policy. It may end up as a case of the tail wagging the dog, but i wonder if he's asked the lads, "where do you feel you perform best?" He's the boss, agreed, but a bit of feedback can't hurt. And ya, it is your post, Stability is paramount, we may not play the same entertaining brand of rugby as last year, we may not get as many fans through the gates as we'd hope, but is calling for the head of the coach going to make anything change instantly? doubt it. Get wayne bennett over, he'll still be up against the best team in the league in fev, and folk would still rather go the pub and watch united v bilbao in the second rate cup on a thursday neet!

| We need to play the players in their correct positions and not upset our own players at the cost of dual reg players IMHO.

| Shaw needs sending back he's the worst tackler I've seen in a good while in pro rugby he's absolutely shocking in defense Get McGivray, Clay or Pownall on instead end of!

| I'm only going to make 1 post tonight because reading this forum will only wind me up until i've settled down by tomorrow.
Next few games we need:
Riddy at 6 - set up most of our better moves tonight even though he's still not at his best.
McNally at 7 - I think it's his natural and best position ( I love Duffy but he just ISN'T a scrum half anymore!)
Nico to play AT LEAST 60 minutes at hooker. The change in intensity and speed with him on is massive!
Beswick either at 13 or dropped. He was arguably our 'biggest' signing and hasn't delivered at 9. Duffy to interchange at hooker with Nico and Beswick to play at 13 or not at all.
Brierly is classy and looks dangerous but we need to start with halfbacks who can really CONTROL a game! So for me he would be back on the bench to be brought on for impact.
Russell wasn't great tonight but i'd give him more time at fullback, especially if McNally moves to scrum half.
I would drop Shaw (send him back to wire, he can't tackle and doesn't look interested) for Deano or Clay.
I would drop Worrincy ( knew he wasn't great in defence but at least expected some good attack) for Goulden once he's fit.
I'd regrettably also drop Briscoe. He's really impressed me and I think he is going to be a great player for us but I feel he's just a year too young and a stone too light at the moment.
I'd drop Bibey too and give Tommy Gallagher a run. He's earned it with his performances so far. Bibey needs to improve!
2 players who stood out for me tonight were Littler and Spencer. They ran hard and gave it their all.
1st choice 17 for me at the moment would be:
Russell
Maden
Littler
Gardner
Clay
Ridyard
McNally
Parker
Nicholson
Spencer
Taylor
Goulden
Beswick
Bench:
Duffy
Brierly
Gallagher
Hopkins
Also, it's far too early to be slating Rowley. I'm not happy with the performance level at the moment but i'm still 100% behind Paul and think he will turn it around.

| We have been beaten by Batley who have one of the best coaches/ motivators in UK RL and by Fev last seasons League and G Final winners coached by one of the best English coaches in the country so losing was always on the cards to these two against Batley it was close and could have gone either way, against Fev well what can we say in my opinion we played poor, one on one defense at times was comical our style playing one man drives was dire and predictable Duffy is a hooker end of a great player in that position but scrum half no way to slow you want half backs running at the defensive line causing the defense to make mistakes you want half backs who can move the ball wide to get the centres running on a one to one , this is what breaking down the defensive line is all about not just movin the ball to a prop or second rower to put his yed down and take a drive time after time after time it aint rocket science just basic rugby league the players tonite let the coach down and the fans but we where playing a well drilled side and played the game in their pocket with that daft forward game, blimey Leigh can play good rugby when they want come on lads thrash the Londoners and lets have a good cup run......

| I think your long post RTB is what most knowledgable Leigh fans would think. I wasn't at the game tonight but would like to ask a few questions. Is Paul obliged to play the DCs? Is there another problem at the club that only the players, board and back room staff know. By playing the DCs are the club saving money on players who may be on pay for play contracts. What is different is that when we started off we looked and played like a good team. Now we look like a team who don't care. Without the DCs we look like a team prepared to play for each other. I don't want a Witch Hunt but something has gone wrong. Have we got a group of players that wanted Paul as coach but now don't. Do we have a bunch of players that don't like their team mates being dropped for DCs. Calling for Paul's removal is most definitely the wrong way to go. He has been given the job and he and his staff were doing a great job before so the glitch needs to be identified and put right. My last question is, when the lads train how often do they all train together?

| To be honest Spencer Russell, Brierly are very talented and if possible should be in the starting line up every match D Cont are not the problem its getting the team to play in the right postions and to get the lads to up the tempo and play with greater comitment thats been our down fall last two games all will come good in the not to distant future that im sure of.......

| I agree other teams have more experienced coaches than PR, my point is that when we do lose not to bothered if we have played with commitment, pride, focus and most of all getting the basics right players out of position, players being dropped re Mc Nally. You can put some blame on the players but most of it must come down to the coach and the tactics. Rewind back to when PR was coach same thing i fear is going to happen again. As you can see im not a fan of PR never have been i just hope he can start to turn it round, and yes it still is early only two games played in the league but its a long season and confidence seems low, lets hope PR has what it takes i realy do hope so.

| Reckon we are in the same position in the league as the last time he was in charge. Last night I have no idea how we only list by 20. We were poor even by amateur standards. Keep playing like this with on average 3 inside balls per set, we will have no one watching. It was sheeeeeeeite
