Leythers sounded great tonight from Mallorca thanks to Stusports. Could here the Nanyn chant and the boys were full of it. Confused why Army got penalised for getting thumped for grabbing a shirt. Rob Hick said " I saw what you did " then the sound went off. Bent.

What Hicks meant to say was "I saw what you did after he let you out of the headlock he'd tackled you in - you pulled his shirt -there not place for that kind of behaviour in our sport. Not only does that allow him to punch you (without punishment, of course) it also entitles him to a penalty too!"

The Dewsbury fans near me thought Armistead should have been binned for that but none knew why Dewsbury were awarded a penalty. Can't say I did either. Hicks makes some odd decisions but I suppose they even out.

About 250 Leythers tonight and I did not think we played well but we always looked like we would win.

Was Higson injured he seemed to take a knock early doors then when he spilt the ball which led to the first Dewsbury try he was substituted?

higson did take a knock, hence his subbing so early. have to say the armistead try was not, if he had gone to the video ref it would imo of been disallowed, hicks was poor, but like the ever sensible frankb said, they even themselves out over a game, and as much as we all moan about him, we have still managed to beat both the teams he has refered us and denied those teams a bonus point, i reckon that's all the more credit to our super band of players, matty blyth after game was singing the praises of the great man himself, saying how much he enjoyed it down at leigh, and what a great group of players we have, plus obviously that great man i mentioned, yes the one and only ian "the great" millward.

It was'nt a penalty in my view re the Armistead incident ,he took umbridge to something the Dewsbury player did /said then gave him a little shove then Dewsbury player landed out .Hicks told him that if he had,nt have shoved him then he would'nt have thumped him but i always thought that the retalliator was penalised

My view (through the rain!) was that the Dewsbury guy caught Armitstead with a raised elbow. Armitstead took exception and pushed the Dewsbury player, who stuck one on him!

The moral is that it's ok to elbow/punch, but you mustn't push! Dave was obviously penalised for not doing a proper job on his opponent.

Ah but Alan, Army just took the punch as if a 10 year old had hit him. Me thinks there may be something coming for your man from the Rams in the next encounter.
