| I would normally pay full price if I didn't have a season ticket. But if there was a cheaper way next season, due to finances I would probably take it. Incidentally I know two people who have passes in who still pay for their tickets. There are no simple answers. The answers would get easier if there were more meaningful games. At the moment the majority of the meaningful games start in August, 6 months into the 7 month season. IMO the current incumbents of the club have done as much as they could up to now. The question is would a drop in ticket price of say 20% bring in 25% more fans (4-500 currently). If it works then great, however the best solution is out of our hands. Over to the fat controller

You are right in saying that if there was meaningful games it would be easier no doubt.I think the club have done
magnificently to get were we are at the moment. There is a questionnaire on the leigh website and you can put your ideas on there. I have filled it in and my original post on here was just an idea imo to suggest block bookings.

| I bought a season ticket this year under the misapprehension that all games were Sunday 3pm kick off.At least 3 games so far this year have clashed with alternative events. One being a golden anniversary do and one a family members 30th but hey at least the club pocketed the full season ticket amount. I'm still working on an excuse to be able to attend to the Friday night Halifax match.
If the club is going to offer a 6 match half price booklet next year, then based on this season I will snatch their hands off. The club will get half my season ticket money which is a shame.
But at least on the flip side I only pay for the games I can attend and I am no longer out of pocket

Well that's great because there might be an awful lot of people in that position who don't usually buy a ST that might
buy a booklet of tickets and that can only be good for the club. I do sympathise with you regarding the club changing the games from sunday.

| I did not suggest cheap tickets.
I suggested a match ticket book.
A full season ticket holder should get 10% discount
Then you have have a half season ticket at 5% discount for those who know theyll miss a few games due to work or holidays, but want to do their bit
Lastly a 5 match ticket book with a quid off, this to be used to give to lapsed fans, ie our fetch bob tickets.
Get the season tickets on sale as soon as this season is over, with a option to spread the cost over the time scale till new season .

| Categorise the games next season. Grade them to the opposition being played. Grade A games (fev, fax, super league challenge cup side etc) charged at a premium rate. A sliding scale downwards for the poorer opposition. You cash in on the sides who bring away fans and the home fans who only come to the big games, rewarding the more loyal home fans who buy full season tickets and giving the fans who want to watch some of the lesser teams an incentive.

| What is the point in discounting anything when 90% of the local population have never set foot anywhere near the complex?
Only winning will bring any crowds in and we are doing our best at it. Get to the Grand final this time and sell the club to the people not give it away. We need a big day or days to show the people the place where they can have a good time. Then they will pay the going rate.

Agreed.
We are where we are and until licensing is scrapped it is the same for every team apart from 5 ie Wire Stains Leeds Hull and that other team.
Every game needs to have meaning imo and take away p & r and the threat of relegation means the top get better the rest can't go anywhere.
Mind you I have been posting this since this ludicrous franchising experiment was introduced.

| Quote: maurice "I would support a book of tickets for the season at £150 for 13 tickets payable by 5 DD's at £20 with a £50 deposit
Season Ticket at £140 for 13 games, payable by £40 deposit and 5@ £20
Season Ticket + Replica Shirt at £170, payable by £50 deposit and 5@ £24
Really go for the Touchdown concept for fans £200 incl Season Ticket + Replica + Main Bar Membership (I still like 'Proud Leythers' Club) £50 deposit and 6@£25
Family section of West Stand £280 2A+2C under 12, £150 1A +1C
Under 16 £60 incl Replica, £20 deposit and 4@£10, or £40 without replica
Under 12 £20, £10 with Adult Ticket - incl of JC's membership
Concessions £10 matchday, £100 Season Ticket £40 deposit 4@£15, with Replica £130 £50 deposit 5@£16
Objectives - make it affordable, Get the shirt on display, increase the feel good/part of something mentality, make the matchday experience great value for families and passionate fans
Caveats - Replica should be a quality, cotton type shirt - I would also go retro.
The ST's should be books of tickets with the opposing team on them - I have seen 2011 cards used this year.
Gates should be marked Concession, Child and Adult with vigorous checks carried out before fans get to the turnstyle - concessions and Kids is abused.
No free tickets all season, publish it and stick to it. Publish offers in the ST booklets, suggest 3 per season for ST holders to 'sell' when the club advertise.'"
Agree with all of this mate.

The club needs to generate £750k in income to finance ambition ie beLEIGHve.
This will be obtained from £60k Lottery, £40k LISA, £80k sponsorships, £90k RFL, £40k grants, £40k Touchdown club, £40k boxes/meals leaving £360k from gate/ST receipts.

Where do you get some of those figures from? Have you just thought of a number and quadrupled it then added a bit more for good measure?

Ahhhh, take a snippet in isolation, ignore the hypothetical nature of the post and emphasise the insiders knowledge with a wink and sarcasm whilst throwing discussion point off track strategy.
I assumed £60k would be from radio income (retaliates with sarcasm oneself, knowing he shouldn't do it as the discussion will move off thread even more and some dummies may come hurtling my way. Note to self - you Bad boy, treat the proletariat better next time)

You were using those figures as an example (it says so in your post) but they're are so far off the mark you might as well say the Tooth Fairy came last night and bestowed untold riches on the club for all the use they are.

Steady on Michelle. I hope that's not true about the tooth fairy - I'm hoping she saves her 'hard-earned' for when dental problems come for me amd mine!
