Agree totally that the location will be a factor as the sense of occasion isn't the same and the chance of getting all the family involved (thus spreading the word about the game to various levels of people who wouldn't normally mention a RL game is virtually nil).

I'd like to know how we are selling as it could be used to build up support (I believe the guy who put Leigh TV out there did this perfectly and probably drummed up sales on the day by his ' we've 100 now signed up, now 200, now 300 look how quickly its rising' line).
That said its now irrelevant as from Tuesday we're not selling tickets to the people who would want to buy them due to the RFL wanting tickets back (surely if its for sales on the day we have someone at the club happy to drive to Halifax and hand over our unsold allocation at 09:30 on Saturday morning for the RFL to sell as I'm sure even the RFL would want more people buying beforehand to ensure the ground isn't 3/4 empty ?) so lets hope the RFL have pay on the day as the Leigh walk up figure will be significant if we've only sold circa 1,000 tickets as of today.

I'm avoiding getting carried away until I'm en route for one reason or another for fear of jinxing myself!

Just rang the club about tickets,they told me they have ordered some more and are selling them right up to saturday.So will be going getting 4 tomorrow after work.

Yes you can pay on the day but the club will receive no financial benefit if you do. If you buy from the club they recieve 25% of the sale price. And you can order from the club and pay over the phone.
