Of course the top teams will always pick the top players, but we’ve always had our own junior development, this sound’s to me like we are heading towards only one team?

If we can’t afford our own youth development then we should take note of the quote of the day on my calendar yesterday which says ‘Don’t say a thing is impossible when it’s only difficult’. We should be cutting our cloth accordingly.

This can be resolved very easily if the CEO or Chairman can make the following statement -

"No Wigan Warriors player will appear for the first team of Leigh Centurions unless he is on a loan agreement of at least one month"

If they can make that statement then they will continue to have my full support.

If they can't then we have sold our soul to the Devil...

Why do you always play the antagonist alot ?

I agree with Fred on some of his comments , If it benefits the young players in the area with better coaching etc then surely that would benefit the team , as long as the buck stops with PR and he and the Leigh coaches have the final say on who plays then fair enough .

After all it's young players careers that we're on about , the same ones that the RFL have deemed should be discarded if they haven't made the grade by age 19 . With this system they would get a second chance with our under 20's , and if they're good enough then PR could give them a run out with the Centurions in the Championship .

And as for Wigan cherry picking our best young players ? , let's not forget if the player want's to remain a Leyther he can always say NO .

IMO there's to much rumbling about P&R returning and restructuring the leagues , so if a Super League 1 & 2 is formed it's essential that we remain as a top team in the Championship and be seen to be a proactive club , remember you have to be in it to win it .

I'm willing to wait and see and give it to till the end of the season before deciding if we've taken the 30 pieces of silver .

Toady this is probably the most sensible post on the Forum for a while , well said , i personally am not worried about what has been said up to now , but i feel it would ease the worries of Mo and other fans if a said statement was released .

Don't know why all the fuss ,as I see it its nothing like Swinton at all ,its about the young players staying in the game .The word Wigan seems to make some fans blood boil .

Very true on all 3 accounts , so much anti-Wigan ,and we all know Wiganers have Horns and cloven hooves .

I know a couple of Wiganers who at this very moment are considering putting money into the Club , they dont watch Wigan rugby either , but to some are probably considered to be the Devil incarnate .

This has nothing to do with it being Wigan, I would feel exactly the same regardless of who the other club was.

That statement was the most worrying part, it feels we are being sold a different product to the one Kris has signed up to. Time will tell

I think that was why the actual excerpts from the agreement were appended at the end of the announcement so that there can be no ambiguity in interpretation.

For once a proactive piece of PR rather than reactive!

I think we have both been around this club long enough to allow time to dictate what the motivation was, so lets see how things develop.
