The family have already sorted me a ticket for the coach,but i will bear in mind that there is a later coach(if theres room) if i am delayed

Anyone know where the coaches are dropping people of at?
I know there isnt much in the way of anything too close to the ground.





Hi lynda here Ive been told stewards will be meeting the coaches and parking them up, I think they are letting us drop off at the ground I believe

Don't worry I'll sort everything out, I've never done it before, but I'll give it a go I mean how hard can driving a bus be

Major issues today with the organisation of coach parking when we reached the Shay

Not sure where the blame lies, but will be investigating to find out in the next couple of days, in the meantime, apologies to all inconvienienced by it , hopefully everybody got home ok eventually

Ah that's why it has been so quiet on here post-match - everyone is still in Yorkshire (or on the town celebrating! )

Details of parking were supplied but were ambiguous and lacking in detail and forethought, just the usual bare minimum rather than using common sense and going the extra half inch to make sure everything works as it should

So once again, sorry for any inconvenience and hope it didnt spoil anybodys day too much

We were fine Steve, our coach (No 7) was one of the first there and ended up parking at the top of the hill and the driver said 'Sod it, I'll just pay the (parking) fine, I'm not driving all around town or you'll never find me - come back here when you've finished'. So that's what we did.

However I heard the match announcer telling everyone that someone will direct them to their coaches once they got outside the ground and some were them told to go to a certain point and their coaches would come and pick them up. Others wandered aimlessly around and I saw one old couple who walked up and down that big hill twice trying to find their coach.

I think the blame must lie firmly on the shoulders of The Shay - they were fully aware of how many coaches we were taking yet seemed to make no provisions for them to park up anywhere.

Having now seen the information supplied I fully understand what arrangements had been made, but only because I spent an hour and a half chasing round trying to get things sorted pre match, local knowledge of the Shay and surrounding area would have prevented the confusion, ie a steward designated with the job

As I said, just a bit of common sense and forethought

But he ho, everybody got home

And we won

Our coach was fine he dropped us off at the rear of the north stand, and picked us up there as well, apparently before I got back we did have a few trying to get on at the end of the game but they were told we were a 'private party', as I got there one bloke was having a bit of a strop but nothing major.

Thanks to Lynda and Ivan for arranging our coach for us we all had a great day.

I will have to send young glow to the coach company tomorrow though as I left my horses on there
