Mr Thomas confirmed the hunt for Williams is dead and also stated that had he come across the likelihood of him playing for Huddersfield or Wakefield next yea was extremely high as both of those teams apparently tried to get him last year.

Believe me, I've heard of three names that would really boost the squad, 3 from Wigan that Leigh have enquired about at least six times only to be knocked back.
Of course the cynical of you out there will probably say yeah I bet one was Gareth Hock, but we are talking fringe first team players that would boost any team in the Championship.

Seems Widnes and Fax just have to click their fingers and get whoever they want on loan and it wouldn't surprise me in the least for Gateshead to announce new signings just in time for the critical run in.

Have I missed something but which NL clubs in the last 3 weeks have signed any SL loan players?
