Well said so do I' but being a flatcapper I would prefer the licensing system be scrapped and for the long term health of the game the reintroduction of promotion and relegation.

Quite agree Frank, but would much rather see the traditional clubs like Leigh, Fax and Fev (or Hunslet/Dews/Barrow/el all) being given a go in SL rather than the likes of Wales, Toulouse and the likes through some fastpath route.

Well I agree with Nik and the young lad from Salford. Both comments are good. The new website looks great and I am looking forward to the site being fully operational. Well done.

So what does everyone think about the 'major announcement' then?

Personally I'm really pleased they've made their intentions known and it clearly shows how ambitious the club is. Also it gives them plenty of time to get their house in order and to prepare a proper, competitive bid.

Now we just need the rest of Leigh to get behind the team and get a few more fans through the gate.

Well Mish I think it is a major announcement. They have nailed their flag to the mast and I hope it all works out for them.
This is the goal for the town and the club to work together and really put us where we belong.

I agree with everything you've written, its good that the club has been brave enough to make the statement. Can we financially support it? Well I guess that depends on how well the businesses and public get behind them.
