He remarkably quick off the line, has great top speed and can really get up under a high/wide kick to get the ball and score. Also good high in defence and a solid all round in defence.
Very happy with this signing.

I never sawWayne McDonald play either till he signed for Leeds , but I knew he was a good signing , and at 6ft 7ins I knew he was a big lad .Nene is 6ft 4 ,a big lad and has played over 90 first grade NRL games ,making him a GOOD SIGNING .

I also never got to see McDonald Bailey play live , but I knew he was very quick as well.

I saw macdonald bailey play on a wednesday night in 1953 in a friendly game against wigan r.l. I was in the "kids pen" he was very fast but he was never a rugby player i think he scored a try in the corner near the score board if my memory serves me well. I can't remember the final score.also i think this was his one and only game. the only thing that leigh r.l. got out of it was publicity the build up to the game and the game itself it was all over the sporting pages of all the national newspapers...I remember all this charlie because iam older than you.....lol
