17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

Adam Higson. I'd take him over our current wingers and at least one centre

| Well there’s some right negative nellies on here, for me:
Thornley looks very good at this level, seems very strong in defence and makes good yards
Higginson needs game time to see if he is up to it - comes with very good raps
Marsh disappoints me, but when he signed I expected him to play where I think he would be stronger. On the plus side he puts plenty of effort in and helps the forwards out from dummy half an aweful lot
Pownall strikes me as a very average winger to be fair - but he’s prepared to put the shirt on and give his all and that’s good enough for me
Not really too sure what our expectations were but I for one ar3 more than happy with where we are at - and still wouldn’t write us off 3rd 4th or 5th
Enjoy the ride

Agreed in total.
We seem quick to forget where we were, just a few short weeks ago - when, if anyone had suggested we were going to sign any of the above threequarters, they would have been accused of being delusional!
For what it's worth, I don't believe Thornley did drop that pass, leading to Evans' try. The ball arrived between him and the Bradford player - a poor pass at the best of times - and arguably hit the Bradford player first

And for those saying Marsh was slow, Evans is no slouch as we know and Marsh had to turn and chase him, and did not exactly lose any ground on him

Always has that slight hesitation after receiving the ball, which often costs him the line. Hopefully Duffs can coach that out of him.

Wow Atomic my observation of Marsh exactly!!
I've only seen the Bradford match on Bulls TV which,I was amused listening to their commentator. he had me doubting who was actually playing for us He kept referring to Thornley as Higginson even though Thornley's squad number is 3 with his name was clearly visible on the back of his shirt
Did Higginson get replaced ? because it was Bentley at Centre in the second half!
Thornley and Marsh have spent the majority of their careers in Super League and consequently I did expect more from them! It is still early days in this season and Fax, Bradford and York have all got to come to Leigh now so, lets try and be positive
Yours,
Negative Nellie

| Most wingers nowadays have to be acrobatic to finish some chances, Marsh most definitely isn’t that but he does help our forwards out. Jonny is the much better finisher but has at least one howler of a mistake in him every game.
Really disappointed with Josh Woods and expected much better from someone who Wigan rate highly.
Higginson was dragged off by Duffy for a few poor mistakes.
We need 2 better line running back rows to hold defenders up before we will start to score many points against decent teams.

Well I dont know if you noticed but Johnny is back playing for Leigh but shares a similar common denominator as Higson.

Edges have been poor from game one. Back rowers won't cure that.
Pace required.

| A good back row in the modern game makes space for the 3rd pivot (Gregg) by getting defenders to “bite” in and create a 3 on 2 where he can pick pass. We are lacking that and I would suspect the signing of Laithwaite (TBC) is to remedy that.

Mcnally joins the line now, it's the edges that fail to read him or make an absolute hash of it. As for Laithwaite, can he still do the business? Thats a question he was asking himself by training with them.

| Well I think Widnes should have got rid of Marsh a few years ago to be honest. Lost a lot of speed the past 3 years with injuries and he constantly keeps his head down when runs. He will show effort and surprised he has not got injured, as usually breaks down after a few games.

| It shows how sometimes things can work out or not. Look at Evans, hardly played for you guys, couldn’t stay fit yet hasn’t missed a games for the Bulls, I don’t think! Playing well too and turning into a decent signing
