We'll miss Rene. He's been ever present this season and the stand out second rower in the league. Leigh 36 - 16 Fax. Still think we have far too much for them in the Forwards though.

Leigh should have the best pack in the league, afterall you have spent about 500K more on it than we have. 
Not sure what to expect this year to be honest. On one hand I see Leigh's results and think they can be beaten but on the other hand they have so much talent that they must have other gears that they can go in to when the going gets tough. We will have to be at our very best to come away with anything from the game. Early on in the season I wouldnt have given us a chance but we are hitting form again and I think we now have a chance even if its a slim one.

They're always very close & entertaining games against Fax & I've no doubt today will be no different. We'll need to keep switched on all game as Fax will be able to punish us if we ease off on them. Hoping we'll use it as good preparation for the Super 8s and win the league for the 3rd consecutive season today.

Some unusual selections. No Burns, Armstrong, Maitua. Reynolds at fullback, Smith at centre.
Our usual starting front row of Fui, Higham and Weston all on the bench. Dixon back from a lengthy absence.
Not necessarily a particularly weakened side but definitely an experimental one!

Great 1st half!
Particularly impressed with some of our less praised front rowers in Hopkins, Hood and Spenner getting well on top of the likes of Cahalane and Tangata up the middle.
Don't take the foot off now, keep it up!

Cheers, very gracious, a team was always going to be on the end of a Leigh "thumping" imo this season as most of us have seen the signs of how we are able to play. Today we "clicked" and stopped Fax being able to play their game but more importantly took the chances we created, very happy with the game today some good RL played. |
