Patterson is s good player problem is he's a bit flakey signed a 3yr deal with us went home after a year with homesickness signed for an Aussie club quits rugby altogether to become a pro boxer quits that and signs for Salford (over his homesickness apparently) on a 2yr deal lasts a year and signs for you the chances of him seeing out his contract are slim to say the least

Well he's honored his departure from Salford. With most SL fans early doors stating the signing would only happen if we were promoted.. |

Only really seen him play twice this season..The CC against Salford for me he stood out and took control of the team,yes launched Mcnally's head in the first 6 seconds,but showed true character and experience in that game. |

| Some people changing their tune from the Challenge Cup game earlier in the season, when Cory was nothing but a thug who would be playing in the Championship next season. Well you all got one thing right, he will be in the Championship next season but with Leigh!
In all seriousness, I have known about this deal since around July which is the time when Cory and his family has major visa issues. Koukash wouldn't give him the financial help he needed but Derek Beaumont did. He agreed to sign for Leigh from that point on. His agent advised him to stay with Salford, as he knew Tim Sheens was coming on board but a three-year-contract was too good for him to turn down at his age.
He is a very good player, who has been one of our better performers at times this season. An earlier comment about him going missing at times is fair, but he can also highly influence games too. I think his record this season is 21 apps and 10 tries, not a bad return from a forward. I expect him to steam roll the Championship next season.

There is a better chance that we will get him on the pitch, than your recent ex-SL signing GFB. I read a recent interview with Tony Smith, where he suggested that Grix may well not play again. Obviously I hope he is proven wrong, but my point is that if Paterson is a strange signing,....................! |
