Would hardly be a surprise if Penky returned... we've had numerous threads on this in the past.

I'd imagine it's even more likely he'll return now that Rowls is in charge. I think people will want to play for his Leigh team, esepcially as he's giving the players more licence to express themselves unlike the rigid formations we played under Kelly and Shaw.

Looks like Rowles will stamp his mark on the side Penky will be just one of many quality additions i reckon!!

i as a fax fan would hope fax can keep hold of him.

penky i think stated a bit ago he would stay with fax till the next franchise.

although that was before the interest from leigh came about.

leigh were always interested in penk and stood by him through his two year suspension for drug abuse.as a show of gratitude for that he signed for fax for a few more quid.so are we to assume that we have offered him more than fax and that is why he is interested,rather than he WANTS to play for us.

How do you mean "you stood by him through his suspension" he`s never been a Leigh player he was suspended from Huddersfield. He came back to us as prior to that he was a Fax player and we stood by him and offered him a contract.

I believe he was training at Leigh, to get his fitness back. (something that nearly got Leigh into trouble, as he was banned!) Then when his ban ended, he went back to 'Fax - either through loyalty to them, or for a better deal/prospects. It's as simple as that.

I fully expect Penky to rip us apart on sunday just to prove a point to the Fax fans

well - if its true it sums leigh up - perfect opportunity to sign him last time, and the rumour has it that they offered him a very poor contract, he goes to fax, plays well and now we decide we want him - and lets be realistic - he will go the club that offers the most (which is fair play to him).

that main dilema again - offer better wages to quality players - improve the rugby that the team play - get the speccies in - pays for itself. Doesnt go according to plan - expensive error.

Either way it doesn't , not at this level in this or any sport
