| We need to get Cooky match fit and bring in one more decent sized prop then we can have Chris Hill and Mike Morrisson in the second row, alogside Armistead. Our present second rowers are too small. Durbin, Marshy and Watson (speed, strength and organisation) Jock on the bench. Donlan fullback for defence and Morty fullback for attack and kicking. That leaves Stanton, Smith and Higson. What a team!

Not a bad idea but would you really drop Taylor??? For me Taylor has been fantastic this season and a rock in defence. Would play taylor and Rourke (Been impressive) or Haggerty in second row and Armistead at 13. Leaving C.Hill, Morrison, Hobson and Meekin/Cooky as props.

| Know what you mean. Jimmy T has been good, as has Haggerty and Rourke. I was just thinking about gross weight after watching Leeds and Saints and all on TV. I've seen Chris Hill before tear down the centre position and create havoc...we haven't done that at all for a while, yet others team do it to us eg. Batley. So, we'd be better off in defence too...maybe!

The last one we had that did that was Sid and that must be five years ago. I've seen Marshy do it a couple of times late on in games and it does cause other teams problems.

| You're right, Marshy has done that. He came on against Whitehaven in the play-off last season and made a break nearly every time he had the ball. For some reason we don't work the channels as we could, or indeed other teams do. Well, let's see how we do Friday.

| Thing is the question should be ' How are we going to play ' not ' who are we going to play '
A comment about Johnny Lomax at Saints from their coach Mick Potter in answer to why they had played a H/Back at full back to replace Wellens
" Johnny is a very talented RL player , that makes him very versatile , something that we see as important for all our players "
Today Saints were awesome without a genuine recognise H/Back on the pitch , but they do encourage all their player use all their talent

I played with Johnny for years and he played at full back for a large part of that time, mostly because he was our best defender by a mile, and would feel comfortable there. Better as a half back no doubt but it wasn't that big a risk. Agree with your point though people shouldn't try to round their game more.

| Chris Hill at second row? One of the poorest coaching decisions that could be made.
When the lad is on top form you don't go switching his positions around and IIRC a certain Darren Shaw played Chris in the second row and he had very little impact. Leave him the front row.
Whatever happened to Adam Rudd? I remember this time last year he scored two against Widnes and seemed to be on fire and he just went off the scene. Would love to see him given another shot in the centres with AJ moving forward into the back row with Jimmy, Rourke and Armistead.

| I get the feeling Armistead would rather be back at Barrow if I'm honest
