Another Cas fan here, but with a different viewpoint to above poster.
I am massively impressed by Leigh's "total rugby" tactics, they must frustrate and amaze your fans in equal measures but there are times when your style and approach make you so refreshing to see in the modern game.
I personally think it might just be down to lacking a couple of extra athletic forwards if you miss out on promotion but if the confidence and passion/aggression is maintained (whilst obviously reducing penalties) you could well go on and win your next four.

Wish I could have the half full outlook but I speak from bitter experience. Just a couple of examples - I saw us beaten by the mighty Blackpool Borough in a John Player Trophy semifinal and mullered by 90 points by the equally mighty Workington Town.

I'm with Cokey on this.
Was at Widnes today and I also watched their game at Fax.
Was chatting to a Widnes fan on my way home and he reckoned there are a lot of twists and turns to come yet in the middle 8's.
My view is we need now to win our last 4 games and that is possible.
Oh and just to let Spegs know I have a higher IQ than him' although everyone who reads' or has read our respective posts will know that so I guess I need not have mentioned it.

Widnes could get dragged into the mix. They have 4 points, but have already played both the part time clubs. They come to our place next and are clearly a team that struggle on grass.
Still a lot of rugby to be played. 24 hours a go, everyone had written the middle 8's off, Now as things stand, Bradford go straight up and Wakey/Salford fight it out in the million pound game. It will change again in a fortnight. The week off will do Leigh good as well.
Still a long way to go. |
