another one look.....Leigh did not play that bad, they could not break Batley down when they had some sustained pressure....the forwards were beaten and they could not build a big enough platform for your backs....it just looked like they were running hard into a brick wall.....I think if you had been playing York the scoreline would have been completely different.....but hey your entitled to your one eyed rose tinted opinion old chap...

For me, it was simple - the better team on the night won the game. And deservedly so. What we need to focus on, is how we beat Batley twice, earlier this season.

What a strange chap/chap-ess. The poster in question isn't even a Batley supporter, and made that clear in his/her original post. As for my own offering, I'm not sure if it was either provocative or designed to irritate in any way? How odd. Either way, the fact that we've given Leigh plenty of beatings over the past twenty or so years means that I won't be getting overly excited about our win last night. It was just nice to get a good win over another good side.

His response was provocative, not because of his opinion which he is clearly entitled to but because he chose to make it insulting. My post suggested I didn't think Batley played well and scored off our mistakes, I have seen Batley play home and away many times and thought they could have been much better in attack.

They played the home advantage well and it would be silly to say they don't plan to do so, in return Leigh didn't control enough and gave possession to Batley in areas that put pressure on themselves and then threw some strange passes that ended up with Batley scoring.

It's only my opinion and I didn't or wouldn't disrespect the Batley team because I think they are a very good side, also I thought the Batley fans were great very vocal for their team rightly so but very welcoming to us Leigh fans too !!

I don't even follow them I take in their games when my own club play Fridays so no not really just saw some of the typical 'Wiganer' quotes of arrogance, of which you clearly are in that category.....so where were you then big man ? sat at home on your like every weekend......
