Well our squad last year came nicely in under the budget, and weve only added Mills, Armstrong, I'anson and Higson to it. Granted, Mills will probably be one of, if not the highest paid player but i strongly doubt were breaking the bank. John Kidd has money but not mega bucks, and after the amount of time, effort and money hes already put in I seriously doubt he would risk it all.

These players wont have come cheap and gates Swinton get and the rent LSV charge arent cheap so beware, Swinton. Theres no relegation this year, so why risk the overspend?

They've got to sign somewhere so why won't they be cheap?
Are Leigh actually offering deals now or still sorting a few issues? There aren't many teams, especially based on our side of the Pennines so might be a bit more than just 'ah Swinton overspending!!!'

Leigh have offered deals - which are likely to be accepted by many of last season's squad, and good players from outside that squad. Most players are realists, and won't necessarily fancy five treks a week, over to the 'Dark Side' for training. I suspect that's a big reason why Swinton are an attractive proposition to players based on this side of the Pennines - there's only them and us in the Championship from the 'right side of the hills'!

Without sounding like I am trying to put the boot in but how many of last seasons squad is left? Do you have a list going of ins and outs? Granted one out weighs the other at the minute but that should change soon.

No, I'm not privy to the list, but it's faily easy to work out who will be staying, once you have removed the guys who have definitely left. (Donlan, Higson, Nanyn, Ellis, Hill, Hunter-Paul, Mills, Govin, Blythe, Armstrong, Nash) We had a squad of 25 last season, so that leaves potentially 14 from that squad. There are also some pretty good 'outsiders' who want to join us too.

If those leaving have had better offers so be it, lets move on and support the next lot to wear our shirt.
We do need a new song for Mick when we play for Fax though.

I too hope we at swinton havent over spent. I mean after all we have signed seventeen of last seasons pPlayers many of whom couldnt get in your first team the previous year and a whole four new ones. Boy we are splashing it around! Get real with some facts lads!

As others have said , well done to all of last years players,coaches et al. To those that have moved on, again thanks for the efforts.
The most important thing for us fans are the players already signed and the ones waiting to be signed.
