That is excellent news, it looks like they've played the Widnes card of starting to shout for a licence early in the campaign. I think we've a lot to offer SL, and that we're right to shout about it.
I, for one, wish them the best with this initiative.

Well said so do I' but being a flatcapper I would prefer the licensing system be scrapped and for the long term health of the game the reintroduction of promotion and relegation. |

Quite agree Frank, but would much rather see the traditional clubs like Leigh, Fax and Fev (or Hunslet/Dews/Barrow/el all) being given a go in SL rather than the likes of Wales, Toulouse and the likes through some fastpath route. |

So what does everyone think about the 'major announcement' then?
Personally I'm really pleased they've made their intentions known and it clearly shows how ambitious the club is. Also it gives them plenty of time to get their house in order and to prepare a proper, competitive bid.
Now we just need the rest of Leigh to get behind the team and get a few more fans through the gate.
