And they are stars of the future so what is your point we know we need to improve no need to rub it in mate.

Media will play massive part along with public opinion and expectations - some people have failed but would like the club to take the same path. These people are dragging Leighs chances in the direction of failure they happened to take. Its time to take Leigh forward. No excuses, bury the hatchet - please.

| I wouldn't read to much into Pre Season games. A mixture of factors can affect performance - Not wanting to get injured, lack of match fitness, rustiness etc. Give your team the benefit of the doubt and wait until 4 or 5 games into the season proper before making a judgement. See you on 25th Feb for what I reckon will be a decent game (and a Barrow win )

Well said matey but as i have said before some of our fans want to run before we can walk, they think we should just improve overnight and are not giving Millward a chance to do what needs to be done.

Yeah I knew the time had gone it's just none of the players heard the hooter and the referee showed confusion before calling time.

| It went off fine the first time and the tackle was complete, but Bentham missed it and the two other attempts at sounding the hooter. Well. A bit embarressing but gives us something else to argue about.

| I cant believe how you so called fans/supporters can slag off your own team so much. You should get behind your team and encourage the town to do the same.Maybe that way you will match the attendances of the 2 pre season games and raise youre season ticket holders to over 1000 .that way you can get better players and play better rugby and be back in super league where i believe leigh should be

| You being the one complaining about the price the quality of rugby, (blah, blah blah) in another thread on here. More fans in equals more money for the club equals better players etc. Viscious circle that is perpetuated by people 'refusing to attend again'. Should they let you in for free then.....not sure what sort of players you would be watching though. Support the club or don't. You don't need to justify yourself to anyone. As for the price yesterday, I'm sure if the club had known before the tickets went on sale that W£$%n were going to renege on the 3 year agreement to send a strong side (appears they did from the result!!) the prices would have been lower.

| Well to my surprise I actually enjoyed yesterday's game.
The Wigan side might be young and I was disappointed when announced but they have some great prospects there.
I'm not sure it would have done our lads much good playing against their first team given our current shortage of props for one thing.

| My point demon uk is. Alot of super league teams do special rates on games known for poor traveling supprt,,,Warrington do friend for a fiver for crusader and harliquin games ect. Wigan droped the prices for the Leeds game its about bums on seats and capturing new support so imo that is something leigh dont do. As a rugby town with great amatuer teams it deserves to be promoted as a super league club..... that is your aim after all. Or are you happy to stay where you are and moan about everything that the team achieves?

| But the difference is that those Super League clubs have the larger income from other games to offset price reductions etc, a luxury that we don't enjoy.

| Only saw you moaning. How do we know that they won't be doing offers over the course of this season. Can only do so many otherwise it completely devalues the season ticket. Bring a friend for a fiver just results in someone who would normally pay £14 only paying £5 and the extra that it might bring in do not cover for the usual attendees taking advantage of the offer.

| Some people seem to have got the wrong end of the stick as far as my earlier post
I defended Mr McGuire the w1g4n coach before the game as with the game against Warrington this week they were correct in sending a ' weakened ' squad to Leigh , However to send the team they did [ a combination of reserves and u 18's ] was in my opinion an insult to all who attended
5 or 6 genuine 1 st teamers playing 30 minutes each would have given us a better game overall , it totally demotivated our players in my opinion , we were in a no win situation , while the w1g4n youngsters were in a win only situation
Lets be straight here , we wanted this game as much as a revenue earner as a test game , any prospect of next years game being well supported has now gone
Rant over
