| I believe if we can sell players, and receive decent transfer fees, we should do it now. (unless there's prize money of about £500k for winning the Championship Shield!  ) |

Well, many will be contracted for next season, so a fee might apply. Of course, we daren't let too many go, as we still have Shield fixtures to fulfil.
This morning's trade press still reckons that Brendan Elliott is coming over! Perhaps we can sell him, too?

Well it has to be KC,my son who is a saints fan text me a. I told you so,He said he would do nothing and I must agree a great player but rubbish coach, He would play is daughters boyfriend all the time and never give Regan Grace a game, well the rest is history, and guess who was the first player he brought to Leigh, son in law

I know they are contracted, but the point I'm trying to make is that we would be happy to release them if someone came in for them, to release the wage bill for next season
I do not expect DB for 1 minute to carry the difference, why should he - therefore we cannot sustain the planned budget. Getting salaries off gives us a chance of avoiding the inevitable

Not withstanding the circumstances that brought Jack Owen to Leigh, to be fair to the lad he has performed better than most this season.
Back to KC though, he is King Midas in reverse, everything he touches turns to stone, get rid of him immediately. |

Having players in the Championship Shield such as Pete and Hutchison on weekly salaries of £2k each for the next 7 weeks makes no sense for all parties.
Sad but that's the harsh reality of a squad that sadly has not delivered ( Pete apart, when on the pitch)
Of course Toulouse, London and Halifax still have to win on Sunday but everyone is a realist. Our fate is sealed, make no mistake. |

The biggest mistake (retaining Jukes for a season too long aside) was letting Ridyard and McNally leave. Beggers believe that two lads who loved this club, and could actually play rugby were binned off. Riddy especially - went unpaid for awhile in our darker days, rewarded with a cold shoulder and a p45.

We don’t know what happened with Riddy. Remember the talk of him going to Wakey when he spat his dummy out. But remember the times of playing with broken ribs. Two sides to a story. |
