Got a tad scrappy mid 2nd half , 1st half was belting

That's right Atomic, scrappy. Then read my post in full. We played the conditions in the first half and Barton Red Devil's didn't, hence our lead. The second half both teams struggled with the slippery ball but we were better. Unless you saw slick handling from both teams and champagne rugby? I would call that scrappy with the conditions, with the bast team deserved winners.

For me, that was a most re-assuring performance - very much like the way we dominated in the early season victories. Our defence was awesome, and created the platform for our tries- including two classics from McNally.

Just one possible black cloud, with Hock and Crooks both limping out of the game in the first half.

Arguably McNally's best bit of work was his part in Brown's disallowed try: a superb pass under pressure and, sitting almost level with it, marginally forward at best and nothing like as forward as many we've seen this season which have not been given.

Great grit and effort, line speed was fantastic, push forward as a team and langi was superb when deciding to jump out the line.
Felt like Mortimer had really settled in last night and both him and drinkwater gave us a real edge going forward!
My only worry would be replicating this form away from home in the 8s, and hock not coming back on and crooks limp!!

There were always going to be errors in the saturating conditions, especially given the ferocity of the tackling. I'll happily settle for another seven 'scrappy' performances like that one though!

Cracking result with a very good performance to give us a big confidence boost going into the 8's.
