Point three , the ref doesn't blow his whistle after a knock on , Adam saw a knock on , as did myself and pretty much everybody else I've asked since , nine out of ten , that's a knock on , Adam saw an opportunity in what he saw was a free play with a space to run through , if it had been a knock on and he had dropped on it most likely I'd be on here arguing with someone suggesting he should have picked it up and ran with it

He does make a signal / call to indicate free play, which he didn't make on this occaision. Assuming a free play just yards from your own line in a close game is idiotic. I didn't see the knock on, I saw a ball land behind a player, then watched with head in hands as Higson picked the ball up and ended up in touch.

Some teams make more mistakes than others, none make more than us. And we tend to do it just as we've got ourselves into a game (widnes and wakey at home prime examples)

I've said elsewhere (maybe on this thread), that both keeping or replacing Jukes could be seen as a gamble, but confidence in him reduces with every loss. Especially when it's the same loss over and over again. I'd rather get thrashed one game and win another than lose by 14 every time. It's still 3 scores, so not exactly a tight game.

As has been said earlier on it the thread, everyone is entitled to an opinion regardless of whether they actually saw the game or not or whether they're actually Leigh fans or not. However, whether you care to read what they write or bother responding to it is entirely up to you.

Yes I too would rather get thrashed and then win , but it isn't like that , in 2005 we just kept getting thrashed , that given our small ( and relatively old ) squad is the more likely outcome

So ok it wasnt a knock on , was the one by Matty on their line ? , was their try a double , treble movement ?

As I said earlier , performances or results ? , I'm happy with the performances , we have competed in just about every game , usually going into the last quarter with a reasonable chance of claiming a victory , despite having just as many injury issues as most of the other clubs with better resources ( not that you'd here that in the media )

To me it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy , " Leigh are the most penalised team in SL " , so we will be penalised more , " Leigh will try to slow down Salford/Cas/Leeds/Hulls fast play " so will be penalised for doing so " Leigh make the most mistakes " , so will be penalised for making them more

So we end up trying harder , too hard in fact , and yes then you do start making more mistakes

Maybe if the media ( and the officials ) started watching replays of the games and commented on say " Leeds get away with more forward passes than any other team " , then they'd get penalised more for it ?

I am glad you reminded us all of that, perhaps you should think about that when you call people 'tap room idiots' when they don't agree with you.

In my opinion, you are over protective of both players and coaches, I am probably the same about referees, the difference is that I argue the point whereas you tend to have a sense of disbelief that someone disagrees with you.

I don't think changing the coach wound be a good idea but he has got to get a grip with the shocking discipline, perhaps giving players an IQ Test before signing them would help.

I think you have to put it in perspective guys. It was a miraculous achievement for Leigh to get into Superleague and it was always going to be a really tough ask avoiding 12th place let alone avoiding the bottom four. I know your are on a losing run but that’s to be expected considering all the other clubs have years behind them at this level. You can highlight injuries, discipline and referees but the reality is you had to make numerous changes to your squad and weren’t in a position to sign the quality of players the coaches, supporters and owner would have preferred by choice.

As an outsider I think you have a team that’s committed and been generally competitive and I think Jukes & Co have done a decent job in this regard. To change the coach now could give the club some new optimism in the short term but I can’t see it translating into results considering your next few fixtures. Personally I think your club needs some stability and to focus on hitting your best form for the playoffs. If I was Beaumont I’d stick with what I have and hope that the hard work and togetherness (That only comes with time) pays off at the business end.

Your season reminds me of our first season in SL we started well then couldn't buy a win then scraped in second from bottom by beating Salford and a freak result against Hull I don't know what you expected from this season replacing your coach isn't the answer it's not as if your getting blown away SL isn't very forgiving as I'm realising now we can coast in the championship resting and rotating players every week that's not possible in SL
